I have been participating in the "Original Picture Calendar Exhibition" held in the autumn for the past couple of years in "Gallery Kamin"in Kita-Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture.
The following is a list of the "Original Art Calendar Exhibition".

The
"Nagashima Yoichi Exhibition" was held by Gallery Kamin in Kita-kamakura.
I
and R went to this exhibition after "Artsea" in Chigasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture.

| 入り口横の作品 / Work beside the Entrance |
アーティストのながしま よいちさんが在廊していらっしゃいました。
彼の来場者へのやわらかな応対は、彼の絵の世界と呼応しているように感じます。
The artist, Yoichi Nagashima, was there.
The relaxed response to his visitors seems to be in line with his painting world.

大きな作品よりも小型の作品の方が彼の良さが出ているような気がしました。
I felt that his smaller works outweighed his larger ones.

オコゼ？
Okoze? The English names of Okoze are 'Devil Stinger', 'Sea Goblin' and others. The names all seem to be scary to match the image that comes from the appearance of Okoze. 
ですが、ながしまさんのオコゼは、こんなにひょうきんです。
However, Nagashima's Okoze is so jocular, like this.

お気にりのスペース / My Favourite Space
ながしまさんのお手製(ダンボール)の鯉のぼりです。
私のお気に入りの場所にお気に入りのオブジェ！
"Koinobori" of
cardboard by the artist, Nagashima.
My favourite object in my favourite space!

to Wiki, about Koinobori,
"Koinobori (鯉のぼり),
meaning "carp streamer" in Japanese,
are carp-shaped windsocks traditionally flown
in Japan
to celebrate Tango no sekku (端午の節句),
a traditional calendrical event which is now designated a national
holiday;

もともと、絵本作家になりたくて、アートの世界に入ってきたのに、絵本をまだ1冊も出版していません。
この展覧会のように絵本の世界に触れると初心を思い起こします。
生きている間に絵本出版を実現したいです。
I
originally wanted to be a picture book painter, and I entered the art
world, but
I haven't published even one picture book yet.

in the beginning.
