母を迎えに姉Yと桐生へ行きました。
実家へ一泊、久ぶりに母娘揃って夕飯を取りました。
夕飯の食材は、ヤオコーと言うスーパーマーケットで買いました。
私達が幼い頃にはなかったお店です。
日頃、目にしない食材などがあり、楽しめます。
日本でも海外でも、違うスーパーマーケットを訪れることは、面白いものだと思います。
Supermarket
I went to Kiryu with my sister Y to pick up our mother.
We stayed overnight at our mother's house and had dinner together for the first time in a while.
We bought the ingredients for dinner at a supermarket called Yaoko.
The supermarket was not there when we were children.
I can enjoy the ingredients there that I don't usually see.
I think it's interesting to visit different supermarkets both in Japan and abroad.

| 大きい！ 大きさにびっくり！ 自然薯 (山芋)は実際は、通常、 切り分けた状態で販売されているので、 こんなに大きいのだと初めて知りました。 魚の切り身が売られていて、元の姿を知らずに食べているのと 似ているように思います。 Big! I was surprised by the size! For the first time, I found that Yamaimo (Japanese Mountain Yam) is so big, because it is usually sold in cut sections. I think it's similar to seeing sliced fish for sale and eating without knowing what they were originally. |

| 倍？ えのきは、私が見る通常の倍のサイズで売られています。 キノコ好きの私は、こちらの方が嬉しいな〜！ けれども、夫Rがキノコが嫌いなので、日常生活では なかなか食べられないのです。 晩に、お鍋にたくさん入れて食べました！ Double? Enoki (mushrooms) are sold in twice the normal size I see. I like mushrooms, so I'm more glad about this one! |

| オレンジ カリフラワー (オレンジブーケ) オレンジ カリフラワーが売られてるところを初めて見ました。 普通の白いカリフラワーは、葉を蕾の被せて日に当てず 育てられています。 オレンジ カリフラワーは、蕾葉を隠さず日にあて、 その後も日の光の中で育てます。 色のほかにあまり差異は内容ですがオレンジの方が 多少甘みがあると言われています。 Orange Cauliflower (Orange Bouquet) I saw orange cauliflower for the first time for sale. Ordinary white cauliflower is grown with leaves covering the buds and so not exposing the centre to the sun. Orange cauliflower grows in the sunlight without hiding the buds. Besides the colour, there are many differences, but it is said that the orange ones are a little sweeter. |
地元の野菜 / Local Vegetables
確かに新鮮で立派な野菜に見え、さすが、地元〜！と感動します。
あとは、有機野菜か、または、農薬がどの程度使用されているか、という問題があるのかもしれません。
They certainly look like fresh and splendid vegetables, and as expected, they are local! I am impressed.
Another issue may be that they are organic vegetables or how much pesticides are used.

B. 玄関 / Entrance
昔の私の作品を飾っているのは、家族だけのように思います。
特に、英国留学前の作品を飾っているのは実家だけかもしれません。
I think my family is the only one who decorates with my old works.
In particular, it may be only my mothers' house that decorates with works from before my studying in Britain.

実家の玄関 母なりにクリスマスのイメージで玄関を飾っていました。 壁の絵と右のクリスマスアドベンドカレンダーが、 英国留学前の私の作品です。 絵は過去の個展作品、アドベンドカレンダーは イラストレイターとしての仕事です。 ありがとう、お母さん！ Entrance in Mother's House My mother decorates her entrance with the image of Christmas. The picture on the wall and the Christmas advent calendar on the right are my works from before studying in Britain. The painting is my work from one of my past exhibitions, and the Advent Calendar is from my work as an illustrator. Thank you, Mother!  真ん中のトレイは英国土産、右の屏風上のカードは 私とRからの今年のクリスマスカードです。 The tray in the middle is our British souvenir, and the card on the right folding screen is this year's Christmas card from me and R. |
2) 金魚 / Goldfish
私とYにとっては帰路、母にとっては往路で、"道の駅・はにゅう"に寄りました。
On the way back for me and Y, and on the way out for our mother, we stopped at the "Roadside Station・Hanyu" : "Michi-no-Eki Hanyu".
"Michi-no-Eki Hanyu" is located along the Tone River on National Route 122.

鑑賞用の魚 鑑賞用の魚が販売されている棚を見つけて驚きました。 この状態で売られている金魚を初めて見ました。 餌や藻なども販売しています。 Aquarium Fish There, I was surprised to find a shelf where aquarium fish are sold. I saw goldfish sold in this condition for the first time. They also sell food and algae. |

とりあえず、写真は、全種類撮りましたが、 何しろ、私が無知なので、何が貴重で珍しい魚なのかが わかりません。 ここに載せるのは袋の中の魚がわかるものにしています。 Anyway, I photographed all kinds of fish, but after all, I'm ignorant, so I don't know what is a precious and rare fish. I put my photographs here so that we can see the fish in bags.   オレンジザリガニ 'オレンジザリガニ' というザリガニを初めて知りました。 ザリガニは、みんなザリガニで、それ以上の分け方の必要性が 全くありませんでした。 Orange Crayfish Here I first learned about a crayfish called 'Orange Crayfish'. For me, crayfish were all crayfish and there was no need for further division.  メダカ類やフナ類も販売されています。 Medaka and crucian carps are also on sale. |
Y宅の最寄駅で、彼女と別れ、私と母は鎌倉の家へ向かいました。
これから8泊9日の母との日々が始まるのです。
At the nearest station to Y's house, we separated from Y and I and my mother headed to my Kamakura house.
From now on, the days with my mother for 8 nights and 9 days would begin.
