1) 近所の植物 / Neighbouring Plants

豪華！
お隣の紫陽花が咲き始めました、
我が家の小さな紫陽花と違い、株も花も大きい！

Gorgeous!
The hydrangea next door has begun to bloom,
Unlike our small hydrangeas, the stock(root) and flowers are big!

板壁沿い
お向かいの植栽。ポピーは計画のうちなののかわかりませんが、可愛い。

Along Fence

Planting across the street.

I don't know if Poppies are part of their plan, but they are pretty.

ニオイバンマツリ
ニオイバンマツリ（匂蕃茉莉) は、お向かいの玄関脇にあります。
一週間ほど前は満開でしたが、もう、この花の季節は終わりです。
香りが強いと聞いていたので、今日、初めて嗅いで見ました。
殆ど花がない状態でしたが、ジャスミンに似た香りがしました。

Brunfelsia Latifolia

Brunfelsia Latifolia is located at the side of the entrance

opposite our house.

It was in full bloom about a week ago, but this flower season is over.

I heard that it is strong scent, so I smelled it for the first time today.

There were almost no flowers, but it smelled like jasmine.

英名に、"早くキスして: Kiss Me Quick" があり、
また、"昨日・今日・明日 : Yesterday-Today-Tomorrow"
というのもあります。

The English name is "Kiss Me Quick",

and there is also "Yesterday-Today-Tomorrow".

満開時には香りを経験していませんでした。
I did not experience the scent when it was in full bloom.

北側のお隣
裏庭に隣接するお隣の紫陽花は大きいけれど可憐です。

The hydrangea next door next to our back garden is big but pretty.

2) 5月最終日の庭

Garden on Last Day of May

咲く数は少ないけれど、花は大きく見事な形です。

Although the number of flowers is small,
the flowers are large and beautifully shaped.

撮影後に切り、ビワのお礼に、
お隣のKさんに差し上げました。
とても喜んでくださりました。

I cut it after photographing and gave it to K San,
next door to thank her for the loquats.
She was very pleased.

裏庭の紫陽花 / Hydrangea in Back Garden

小さな宇宙 / Small Universe

ロベリア
ロベリアは、ルリミゾカクシ(瑠璃溝隠)、
ルリチョウソウ (瑠璃蝶草）ルリチョウチョウ (瑠璃蝶々)
と複数の名前があります。
我が家には3色のロベリアがあります。

Lobelia Erinus
Lobelia Erinus has a few other names ;

Edging Lobelia, Garden Lobelia or Trailing Lobelia.

There are three colours of Lobelia Erinus in our garden.

アルメリア

アルメリアは、一度にたくさんの花はつけないけれど、
１ヶ月以上、咲き続けてくれています。

Armeria
Armeria does not have many flowers at once,
but it has been in bloom for over a month.

白い紫陽花とチェリー・セージ
White Hydrangea and Cherry Sage

金魚を彷彿します。
Reminiscent of goldfish.

山紫陽花 / Mountain Hydrangea

レモンマートル
レモンマートルの葉は、とても良い香りがします。
これは、当初、屋内の観葉植物として購入しました。
その後、屋外にだし、次は地植えにしました。
病気がちですし、寒さにも弱いし、なかなか大きく育ちません。
ですが、生き残ってくれて嬉しいです。

Lemon Myrtle

Lemon Myrtle (Backhousia Citriodora) leaves have

a very nice scent.

It was initially purchased as an indoor houseplant.

After that, I put it outdoors and then planted it in the ground.

It's prone to illness, vulnerable to cold, and doesn't grow big.

However, I am glad that it has survived.

ソメイヨシノの実
可愛いけれど食べられません。

Yoshino Cherry Fruits
They look lovely but we can't eat them.

野原のイメージがして、この一角が好きです。
けれど、この花の名前を忘れてしまいました。

I have the image of a field and I like this corner.
But I forgot the name of this flower.

ミニ・トマト
'フラガール' という品種です。
トマト好きの夫Rが収穫を楽しみに世話をしています。
まだ収穫には程遠いですね。

Mini Tomato

It is a variety called 'Hula Girl'.

My husband R, who loves tomatoes,

is looking forward to the harvest.

It's still far from being harvested.

"ペチュニア・ソフィアの宝石"
たくさん、花は咲いていますが、花の大きさが小さい気がします。
栄養が足りないのでしょうか？
鉢が小さいまたは浅いのでしょうか？

"Petunia Sophia Jewels"

Many flowers are in bloom,

but I feel that the size of the flowers is small.

Is it lacking in nutrition?

Is the pot small or shallow?

モミジバゼザラニウム
モミジバゼザラニウムはずっと元気！
花も長い間咲いています。
たくさんの線香花火のように見えます。

Maple Leaf Geranium
Maple Leaf Geranium is always fine!
The flowers have been in bloom for a long time.
They look like a lot of senkō hanabi (sparklers).

ミヤコワスレ
デッキ下でひっそりと咲くミヤコワスレ。

Miyakowasure
Miyakowasure blooms quietly under the deck.

1) 電線上の鶯 / Warbler on Electric String

'声はすれども姿は見えず藪に鶯声ばかり'

といわれる通り、鶯の姿はなかなか見ることができません。

幸運なことに、最近我が家では毎朝、鶯の声を聞きます。

ですが、やはり、姿を見ることはあまりなく、見たとしても、それらしいと思うおりであったり、その影だけだったりです。

見かけた時にカメラを向けると鶯はすぐに逃げてしまい、その姿を撮影することは難しいのです。

ですが、本日、鶯が電線で歌っているところを屋内から見つけました。

確かにその鶯のクチバシの動きに伴って声が聞こえます。

鶯はカメラを向けるとすぐに逃げてしまい、とても撮影が難しく、

その姿を撮影することは難しいのです。

距離があり、窓越しの撮影になり、焦点がなかなか合わず、はっきりと撮影できませんでしたが、とにかく、その姿を捉えました。

Japanese Bush Warbler on Electric String

"It's audible but invisible, I hear voices but I can't see anybody"

As is said, it is difficult to see Japanese Bush Warbler.

Fortunately, I hear the warbler's voice every morning by my house these days.

However, I rarely see them, and even if I see them, they are warblers or I guess they are warblers, or just their shadows.

If I point my camera at one when I see it, a warbler would fly away immediately, and it is difficult to take a photograph of it.

However, from indoors today I spotted a warbler singing on a cable.

Certainly, I can hear the voice as the bird's beak moves.

There was a distance, I photographed through a window, it was hard to focus and I could not shoot clearly, but anyway, I caught it.

Still a Child? Still a Young Bird?

In the video, I think, the song of this bird.

2) さくらんぼの王様 / King of Cherries

"さくらんぼの王様・佐藤錦" とともに
久しぶりにビールとスナックを楽しみました。
びわ、さくらんぼ (佐藤錦) が初夏の食べ物です。
"さくらんぼの王様" として知られる、佐藤錦は高かったけれど
外食ができないので奮発しました (笑)。
左はスモークサーモンと山芋、
スモークサーモンとクリームチーズ巻。
右はドライフルーツ、チーズ、ロース・トナッツ。

With "King of Cherries, Sato Nishiki"

We enjoyed beer and snacks for the first time in a long time.

Loquat and Japanese cherries (Sato Nishiki) are

early summer foods.

Sato Nishiki are known as the "King of Cherries",

are expensive, but we couldn't eat out,

so I got excited and treated us (Laugh).

On the left are smoked salmon and yam,

smoked salmon and cream cheese rolls.

On the right are dried fruits, cheese and roasted nuts.

昨年は、在宅生活でアルコール摂取が例年より多かったので、今年は少なめにしています。

ですが、やめているわけではありません。

適度にね！

Last year, we were staying at home and consumed more alcohol than usual, so we have reduced it this year.

But we are not quitting.

Moderately!

2021年5月29日びわ / Loquat , 29th of May, 2021

ビワ
このビワ (枇杷)は、昨年同様、お隣からいただきました。
夫Rが皮と種を除き用意してくれました。
実は小さく、種は大きく食べる部分は少ないです。
ですが、市販のビワよりも濃い味で甘く美味しいです。

Loquat

We were given these Loquat (Eriobotrya Japonica)

from our next-door neighbour, as last year.

My husband R prepared them, removing skins and seeds.

Actually, they are small, the seeds are large and

we can only eat a small proportion.

However, they have a stronger taste, are sweeter and

more delicious than the commercially available loquats.

お隣のビワの木 / Loquat Tree Next-door

残念なことに実は高いところに多くなり、
殆ど収穫できません。
収穫できた貴重なびわをお福分けしていただきました。
ありがとうございました。

Unfortunately, most fruits actually grow high up
and can hardly be harvested.
We were given some of the precious loquat that
they were able to harvest.
Thank you very much.
