センターコート選手入り口
今年の場合は、
と言うのが正式名称です。

チケットを取得するための行列 / Queue (キュー）は名物で、テントで泊まりつつ行列に加わる人もいます。
ランキング上位の選手の試合が行われるセンターコートや、No.1コートなどのチケットを購入済みの人は、この行列に並ぶ必要がありません。
ですが、このチケットはかなり高額で数も少ないので、一般庶民は行列に並びます。
行列で取得できるのは、'グランドチケット/ Ground Ticket' で入場券のようなもの、日本でTV中継されるセンターコートやNo.1コートの試合は見られません。
ですが、このチケットでNo.3 ~ 19までのコートでの試合を見ることができます。
(西洋でアンラッキーナンバー13のNo.13コートは存在しません。縁起担ぎしていることを今年、知りました。）
No.2や、No.3コートの一部は、有料です。
センターコート、No.1コートのチャリティーチケット(格安チケット)は、グランドチケットを購入後、午後4時すぎに会場内のチケット売り場で発売されます。

Queue
The Queue for getting a Ground Ticket is popular and even some people stay overnight in the queue with tents.
If you already have a ticket for Centre Court or No1. Court, you would not have to join the queue.
However, the tickets are expensive and very few so that ordinary people join the queue.
The queue is for ground tickets, only as a general entry ticket, not a particular seat.
You could see courts of No.3~19 with the ground ticket.
(Considered an unlucky number,13, there is no No.13 court.)
No.2 and some parts of No.3 also have an extra charge.
They start selling charity (cheap) tickets for Centre Court and No.1 Court after 16:00 at a ticket counter in the ground.

今年、私達は午前6時頃に行列会場であるウィンブルドン パークに行きました。
私の整理券(Queue Card)番号は03234(下の写真)でした。
今までで、一番早く会場に到着したので、一番若い番号です。
入場制限は8000番なので、安心！
This year, we got to Wimbledon Park about 6:00am and joined the queue.
My Queue Card number was 03234: below.
It was the lowest number so far because we got there the earliest so far.
The ground's general capacity limit is 8000, so I could be relieved.

No.3コートの無料席を確保するための行列にも並びました。
今年は第一試合から見ることができました。
We joined another queue for free Court No.3 seats.
This year we could watch from the beginning of play.

錦織 圭 選手
この日に行ったのは、錦織 圭 (1989 - ) 選手が出るというのも理由の一つでした。
私達が入場したときは彼の試合は始まっていなかったので、
No.3コートに来ていました。
No.3での試合を見ている間に彼が負けてしまった報告がされ、
彼の試合が見られずがっかり！
試合結果の詳細がされず、'Walkover'/ 不戦勝の表示でした。
のちに、錦織選手が負傷箇所が悪化して棄権を申し入れたことを知りました。
Kei Nishikiori
One of the reasons we chose to visit there on that day
was that Kei Nishikiori (1989 -) would play.
When we entered the grounds his match had not yet started, so we went to No.3.
While we watched a match on No.3, the board showed us Nishikiori was beaten
and then we could not watch his match and were depressed.
The board did not tell the detail of the match and showed "Walkover".
Later we knew Nishikiori's earlier injury became worse and he offered to default. |

ピムズ
一試合見終わって休憩。ピムズ/ Pimm'sを飲みました。
家でピムズを飲むときはたくさんフルーツを入れるのですが、
ここではこのとおりシンプル。
割高感を抱きつつも、名物だからということで注文しました。
ほかの名物、クリーム付きイチゴと、シャンパンは無しです。
Pimm's
We watched one match and then had a rest time with Pimm's.
When we make our own Pimm's we use a lot of fruit,
although here, they are simple like these.
I felt comparatively high in price, although it is one of their features so we had them.
However, we did not have other popular features
strawberries and cream or champagne.
一般的には甘味炭酸水で割って飲みます。
Normally it is diluted with sweet soda water.

ボールガールが登場し始めたのは1977年からでした。
センターコートには1985年から登場しています。

ホークアイ(審判補助システム)が 、No.12にも設置されていました。
