1) アンジェル駅 / Anděl Station

チェスキー・クルムロフからのバスはプラハ市内の 'アンジェル/ Anděl駅' に到着しますが、正確な名前は 'ナッツィ / Na Knížecí 停留所'。

ネットでアンジェル駅に新しい総合案内所ができたと知ったので探したのですが見つからず、スタッフの方にも聞いたのですが知らないという返事。

結局、通常の地下窓口で切符を購入しました。

 アンジェル駅はプラハで最大の地下鉄駅で、地下鉄のほか、トラムの駅(停留所)、バスターミナルもあります。

大きすぎて、不慣れな私達は探しきれなかったのかもしれません。

トラムの切符の買い方、使い方はネットで調べていたのですが、それでも、おろおろ....。

路線地図 (下) を見てもどちらが行くべき進行方向かを判断するのにも結構な時間が必要でした。

アンジェル駅 (Na Knížecí 停留所') から 、'路面電車/ トラム / tram'に乗って、旧市街にあるホテル近くの駅まで移動しました。

けれども、予定した駅は止まってくれず、次の駅で下車しました。

次の駅がそれほど遠くはなかったし、スーツケースも小さいし、ホテルの位置もわかっていたので、歩きました。

トラムは時々、一方方向にしか止まらない駅があると知りました。

路線図 (下) では 、一方方向は、 ▼ ▲  、往復は、 ● で表示されています。

道幅によって片方の駅しか作れないのかもと推測。

ここは、トラムのアンジェル駅にある停留所、
でも名前は 'ナッツィ / Na Knížecí 停留所'。
アンジェル駅 (周辺) には、違う方向へ行くいくつかのトラムの停留所が
この停留所とは違う場所にあり、
名前は、'アンジェル停留所' なんです。
初めての人は戸惑いますよね。
しかし、プラハ観光をするうえで、詳細を知ればトラムはとても便利に感じます。

地下鉄もトラムも盲導犬でなくとも、犬を連れて利用できます。
犬はよくしつけられていて、犬も社会の一部である彼らの文化を感じました。

猫よりも犬をよく見かける都市でした。

Here is the Tram's stop at Anděl Station, 
in fact its name is Na Knížecí Stop.
However, the other stops around Anděl Station are for different direction trams,
and their names are Anděl stop.
New visitors must be confused, mustn't they?
However, I feel if we do sightseeing in Prague and know the details of trams,
they could be very useful.

People can take dogs (even not Guide Dogs) in underground and trams.
Their dogs are well trained, 
I feel that their culture is that dogs are part of their society.
I saw often dogs rather than cats in the city.

Anděl Station

Our coach from ČeskýKrumlov arrived in Anděl Station, Prague in fact the correct name is Na Knížecí Stop.

We knew there is a new Information Centre in Anděl Station from the Internet, so that we looked for it but could not find it and a member of staff did not know.

In the end we bought tram tickets at a normal underground ticket counter.

Anděl Station is the biggest underground station in Prague and there are tram stops and a bus terminal.

The station is too big for us, so we might not find the information centre.

I researched about how we buy and use tram tickets, although we were still bewildered.

Even thought we looked at a transport map (Above), we needed quite a long time before we decided our correct direction.

We moved from Anděl Station (Na Knížecí Stop) to a station which is closer to our hotel by a tram, however, the tram did not stop where we thought it would so that we got off at the next stop.

The stop is not far from the hotel, our suit-cases were small, we knew the direction to the hotel, so we walked back to the hotel.

We found trams do not stop at some stops , the map (Above) shows us single direction stops : ▼ ▲ , or both :  ● .

I guess sometimes they only made single direction stops depending on the width of the road.

プラハはトリム(路面電車）が便利ですが、
大きく移動するときは地下鉄が良いようです。
大きなスーツケースを持っていると、
トリムかバスの方が良いのかもしれません。
なぜなら、プラハの地下鉄は深く、エスカレーターが急！
第二次世界大戦時にシェルターとしての使用が
考えられていたからだと言われています。
この話はプラハを訪れた殆どの人が聞くのではないでしょうか？

Tram is useful in Prague, 
although if you move quite away underground might be better.
However, if you have big suitcases, 
you would use tram or bus rather than underground.
Because the underground is very deep and the elevator is steep!
Often people say Prague though using the elevator as shelter
when it was the Second World War.
Most visitor to Prague might be heard this.

2) ホテル : パシュティヴ・パレス
    Hotel : Pachtuv Palace

このホテルも格安ネットで、3泊 (16 -18日) の予約しました。

なので、'訳あり'の部屋です。

訳ありの部屋でしたが、快適に過ごすことができました。

プラハでもチェコ語で挨拶を心がけ、とくにホテルのスタッフとは良好な雰囲気がもてました。

ホテルは見えますが、私達の部屋は見えません。

I can see our hotel, although I cannot see our room.

Hotel : Pachtuv Palace

We booked three nights (16-18th) here by a low price Internet site too, so it had reasons, however, we stayed there comfortably. 

I tried to greet people in Czech, so I could have a good atmosphere and especially hotel staff responded warmly. 

ホテル最上階ですが、部屋のカーテンは、開けられない、
なぜならとなりの建物が隣接しているから。

Here is the top floor although we cannot open our curtains,
because the next-door building is very close.

ミニキッチン付きですが、お鍋はありません。
エスプレットマシーン (と呼ぶの？）は、普通のお湯がわかせるので、
紅茶も飲めます。

There is a mini-kitchen, although there is no pan.
This espresso-machine can make hot water,
so that we could have tea, too.

コンパクトで使用しやすいバスルーム
チェスキー・クルムロフのホテルもこのホテルも
"ロクシタン" のシャンプーとローション、石鹸が置いてあります。
でもコンデショナーは両方とも置いていないのです。
そうそう、歯磨きセットもありません。

日本のホテルは、安いホテルでさえも、
ほとんど歯磨きセット、シャンプー、リンス (またはコンデショナー)、
石鹸 (またはボディーシャンプー) が置いてあります。
(でもローションはない時もありますね)
なので、これらがないことにちょっと驚き、文化の違いを感じます。
もしかしたらヨーロッパでランクの高いホテルには
常備されているのかもしれませんが、
私達がその手のホテルを利用しない (できない) ので、わかりません。

Compact and Reasonable Bathroom
Both this hotel and Český Krumlov's hotel have bathroom sets of shampoo, 
soap and lotion by "L'Occitane en Provence".
However, neither gives us conditioner.
Oh! Yes! Nor do they have toothbrushes.
In Japan, most hotels, even cheap hotels have
shampoo, soap or body shampoo and conditioner but maybe not always lotion.
So that if a hotel does not have them all, 
I am a little surprised and I feel a different culture.
Maybe high rank hotels have all of them, 
although we do not (can not) use that kind of hotel, so I do not know.

景色が楽しめない部屋を補うように
部屋の前に用意されたテーブルと椅子。
私達は使用しませんでしたが、これらがあると気分的に良いです。

There are table and chairs in front of our room which try to compensate 
for our room not having a view.
We did not use them, although my feeling was better.
私達の部屋へのアクセスはエレヴェーターのあとに、
ベランダ風の通路を通ります。

To walk to our room after leaving the lift, we walked on a veranda type passage. 

幾つかの都市で、動物の型を様々にペイントし、街に設置しています。
これを最初に見たのは、確か、エジンバラの牛。
つぎにバースの豚、リバプールの羊、ロンドンの象で、プラハは牛。
いつ見ても、私は楽しいな〜と思います。

A few cities use models of animals painted differently set around their cities.
I first saw them ....well...Edinburgh's cows, 
next Bath's pigs, Liverpool's sheep, London's Elephants and now cows in Prague.
Anytime I enjoy them.

2日め (17日) の晩にコンビニで買ったビールをホテルで飲みました。
小瓶のワイン (実際は２本あります) は
チェスキー・クルムロフのホテルからお詫びとしてもらいました。

We had these drinks on the second day (17th).
We bought bottles of beer in a convenience store, and
the small bottle of wine (in fact we had two) were given to us
by Český Krumlov's hotel as an apology.

3) 夜の散歩 / Night Walking 

ホテル近くのパブで早めの食事をとったので、そのあと、少しホテル周辺を散策しました。

ひ弱な私達は夜に散策することは、あまりないので、貴重な経験でした。

けれどもとても珍しいことに、プラハでは観劇に17、18日の晩にも出かけたので、毎晩、夜の街を歩きました。

夜もとても美しい街でしたし、都心のホテルにしたことが生かされたと思います。

ホテル周辺は、旧市街地 (Old Town of Prague /  Staré Město pražské) : ★で、観光の中心、1992年に世界遺産指定されています。

観光地名所のひとつである、カレル橋 (Charles Bridge / Karlův most) : ★ / ★も、ホテルの近くにあります。

カレル橋 は、モルダウ川 に架り、中央ヨーロッパの最古の石橋。

プラハ城がある'マラー・ストラナ (Malá Strana) / プラハ歴史地区'と
'旧市街地 / Old Town of Prague' を結でいます (★/ ★)。

[プラハ歴史地区の中に旧市街地も含まれているようなので、今もってこの地域の分け方がよくわかっていません。]





Night Walking 


We had our evening meal in a pub which is close to the hotel and then we walked around the hotel.

We are quite weak and hardly walk at night so that this experience was precious.

However, it was unusual that we went out to the theatre both 17th and 18th nights, we walked in the city every night. 

Prague at night is very beautiful and I think our hotel being central worked well.

The surroundings are the 'Old Town of Prague / Staré Město pražské' which is the centre of sightseeing in Prague and here has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites since 1992.

Charles Bridge crosses the Vltava, and is the oldest stone bridge in central Europe.

This connects from Prague Castle in Malá Strana to the 'Old Town of Prague'.

日本語では"芸術家の家"と訳されることが多いようです。
'チェコ・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団'の本拠地になっています。

  Rudolfinum : ★
In Japanese, it is often translated as "Artist's House'.
 It is home to the  'Česká filharmonie (Czech Philharmonic)'.

ちなみにここは、漫画『のだめカンタビーレ』の
ドラマと映画のロケ地になったそうです。

By the way here became the location of a film and drama : "Nodame Cantabile"

ここも観光名所のひとつなのですが、私達は行けませんでした。

今回の旅行では1日半かけてプラハ城を見たからです。

Kostel Svatého Mikuláše : Church of Saint Nicholas

This is one of the tourist spots in Prague, although we could not visit,

because we spent one and half days looking at Prague Castle.

1) 感想 / Reviews 

'世界で一番美しい街'と言われたり、'お伽の国'と言われたりするチェスキー・クルムロフ、私はこれらのイメージをそれほどは感じませんでした。と言うより、それだけではないものを感じたと言ったほうが良いかもしれません。

散策して楽しい街であったり、珍しい建物やフラスコ画があったり、看板が面白かったり、私の好きな路地がたくさんあったり、通常と比べて別世界の空間がここにあるのを感じました。

お伽の国の闇を感じたり、寂れている面を見たりしたので、キャッチコピーからくるチェスキー・クルムロフに対するイメージだけでは収まりきらない世界を感じました。

これらを感じたことは良かったと思います。

私にとっての東ヨーロッパ、ボヘミアという言葉からくる、悲しげな寂しげな、メランコリーなイメージとつながります。

また中世の建物が多く保存されているのに、重さを感じないのはなぜか、スタジオセットの中のように感じるのはなぜか、と歩きながら考えていました。

それは中世ヨーロッパにありがちなデコラティブな彫刻や石造物 (装飾物) が少なく、平面であるフラスコ画や壁画が多く、石のブロックでさえも描かれているものだからだと自分なりに理解しました。

壁も明るい色が多く、その明るさがときには人工物すぎて、ちょっと不気味に感じてしまったこともありました。

(当時の建物の色がとても明るかったのかもしれませんが....日本でも神社の鳥居などが明るい朱色に復元されると違和感がありますが、そんな感じかもしれません)

これらはチェコのアニメーションの暗い面、深い面とも通じる気がします。

Reviews 

They say "Český Krumlov is the most beautiful town all over the world" or "is Fairyland".

However, I felt these and other different impressions.

I enjoyed walking in the town, there are unusual buildings and Frescos, interesting signs, I love alleys, these too and I felt the world of the town is a different space from normal.

I feel Fairyland has its dark-side and saw deserted‐looking places here so that the world of the town did not match the images of the catch copies of Český Krumlov for me.

It is good that I felt these.

Because these shades are common to my images of East Europe and Bohemia which are sad, cheerless with an air of melancholy.

In addition, while I walked around the town and was thinking why I did not feel the town was oppressive, I felt I was walking among studio sets even though there has kept many of the medieval period buildings.

I understand myself that because medieval buildings often have decorative sculptures or stoneworks, although the buildings in Český Krumlov don't have so much, instead there are many Frescos and wall paintings, even 'stone blocks' are painted which are flat.

And also walls are painted by many bright colours, for me sometimes they are too artificial and sometimes they are weird.

( however, it might have been very bright colours at that period....In Japan, when shrine's gates are repainted, I feel strange.... maybe the weirdness is similar to this feeling.)

I feel that these my feelings are common to the darkness and the depth in Czech animations.

2) アニメーション / Animation

私にとって、長い間アニメーションとはチェコまたはヨーロッパのアニメーションで、日本のアニメーションは、アニメと自分では表現し、かなり厳格に別扱いをしていました。

私はコマ撮り撮影 (ストップモーションアニメーション) の動画が好きなのですが、ヨーロッパのアニメーションはそれに通じるものが日本のものよりずっとあるように感じています。

いつの頃からか、'日本産'と'外国産'の区別を厳密にしなくても良いのではないかと思うようになり、今では日本のアニメーションもアニメーションと呼ぶ傾向にあります。

でも、なぜか、今でも、ヨーロッパやロシアのアニメーションは決してアニメとは呼ばないのです。

Animation

For me 'Animations' has been Czech or European for a long time, I said Japanese versions were 'Anime' and I carefully treated them differently.

I love a film which is produced by stop-motion animation, and I feel European 'Animations'  have much more in common with stop-motion animation than with Japanese 'Anime'.

I do not know when I began to think that I do not have to classify them precisely, nowadays I tend to say Japanese 'Anime' is animation.

However, somehow I have never said European and Russian 'Animations' are 'Anime'.

3) エゴンシーレの絵 / Pictures by Egon Schiele 

エゴン・シーレ (1890 - 1918) のチェスキー・クルムロフの絵は、チェスキー・クルムロフの街について私が感じたものを表現してくれているように思えます。

彼もこの地をお伽の国とか、世界一美しい国とかは、感じなかったのではと思います。

しかしながら、描かずにはいられない、彼にとっても魅力的な街であったのではないでしょうか？

彼の絵で性的なものは、私にとっては心地よく感じられず、好きにもなれませんが、チェスキー・クルムロフの絵は、好きです。

Pictures by Egon Schiele 

I think the pictures of Český Krumlov by Egon Schiele (1890 - 1918) express my feelings about the town.

In my view he did not feel "the town was the most beautiful town all over the world" or "was Fairyland".

However, he could not help painting or drawing the town because the town was attractive for him could he?

Some of his works have sexual elements which are not comfortable for me and I could not like them, however, I do like his Český Krumlov pictures.

4) "エッゲンベルク醸造所" /  "Eggenberg Brewery"

チェスキー・クルムロフの最後の観光場所は、"エッゲンベルク醸造所"。

In Český Krumlov, our last sightseeing was "Eggenberg Brewery". 

地ビールの醸造所 : "エッゲンベルク醸造所"

最初、1560年には、チェスキー・クルムロフ城内にありました。

現在では娼婦館であったこの場所にあります。

Local Beer Brewery : "Eggenberg Brewery"

First of all the brewery was in the Český Krumlov Castle.
Nowadays it is here which used to be a brothel.

建物の前は、グループツアー客で賑わっていました。
ですが、この日の一般ガイドツアーはありませんでしたので、
私たちは工場見学はできませんでした。
グループツアーの方々はできたのではないかな〜と思います。

There was a group tour crowded in front of the building, 
although the Brewery did not have a normal guided tour on the day,
so we could not see their factory.
I thought the group tour looked as though they did.

私達がここを離れるときには誰もいなくなっていました。
When we left here, everybody had gone.

この建物で地元の女性に会い、観光客が行くパブでなく、
地元民が行く方を勧めてくれました。
なので、奥まったところにあるそちらへ行きました。
そこにはその女性が他の方々と一緒にテーブルについていて、
そこから手を降って、よしよしという表情をしてました。
残念ながらお腹がいっぱいでその女性が美味しいと言っていた
お料理は食べられませんでした。

We met a woman in this building, she recommended us to drink in the bar which
 locals use and is different from the tourists', so that we went into the local's bar.
We saw the woman there with her companions, she waved her hand 
and nodded as if to say 'There, there'.
She said the meal is good, unfortunately we were full so that we could not eat there.

右手が観光客が飲食するパブです。/ Tourist bar is to the right.

ちょっとごっついけれど、とても優しい方でした。
そしてこの方の注ぐビールは美味しかった！

He looks a little tough, although he is very kind.
And then the beers he pours into the glasses are wonderful!

美しい！ 
ホテルよりもレストランよりもここが一番美味しかった！

Beautiful!
The beers here are the most lovely! 
 More than the hotel, more than the restaurant.

このグラスを買いたかったのですが、ここでは売っていず、
建物に設置されているお土産屋さんを紹介されました。
けれども、そちらには新しいデザインのものしかなく、
諦めました。

I wanted to buy this glass, although here does not sell them and 
we were introduced to their souvenir shop,
however, the shop only sells a new design, I cannot help it and gave up.

ビール樽を思わせるハンガー掛け
This gives me the image of a beer barrel.

樽が看板 / The Barrel is their sign.

円形稜堡　(エンケイリョウホ)
醸造所の前にあり、1500年頃に建てられた建物で、
ラトラーン城壁の一部でした。
このことから醸造所は、チェスキー・クルムロフの端に
位置していることがわかります。

Cylindrical Bastion
This is in front of the Brewery,
 built around 1500 and was a part of the town defence walls.
From this you could understand the brewery is set at the edge of the town.

醸造所のあとに、スーツケースを取りにホテルに戻り、
再び醸造所前を通りました。
このとき、ビール樽がトラックに詰め込まれているところでした。

After the brewery we returned the hotel for picking up suit-cases
and then we walked past the brewery again.
At that time they loaded  barrels onto a lorry.

初日に通った道を再び使い、バス発着所に向かいました。
We used the same way as when we came and went to the Bus station.
