Before and After the 'Flower Show'

随分前から、ずっと行きたいと思っていた
「ハンプトン•コート •パレス (宮殿) フラワーショー / 
Hampton Court Palace Flower Show」
に、ようやく、今年、行く事ができました。
フラワーショーを経験したのも初めてでした。
ハンプトン•コート •パレス (宮殿) フラワーショー は、

'王立園芸協会 / RHS: Royal Horticultural Society'

が毎年主催しています。

 RHSが主催するフラワーショーで最も有名なのは、

チェルシア•フラワーショー ですが、

そちらにはまだ行ったことがありません。

I had wanted to visit Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 
for a long time, at last I made it, 2013.
This was my first experience of a 'Flower Show'.
RHS: Royal Horticultural Society' manages this every year.

The most popular 'Flower Show' by 
RHS is the Chelsea Flower Show, 
although I haven't visited it yet.

駅の近くからテムズ川を船で行く人もたくさんいます。
私達は歩いて向かいました。

Many people use a boat along the River Thames 
from close to the Station. We walked there.

岸辺を歩くとこんな風景に出会える！
微笑ましい気持ちになれて嬉しい！

When I walked, I could see a view like this.
I felt peaceful and glad.

ここが入り口
入園後、もう、興奮しまくり、写真を撮る回数も尋常でなく、
私の写真は、ピントもあっていなかったり、
構図も考慮してなかったり、なぜこれを撮ったのか、
自分でも理由がわからなかったりしていました。

Here is one of the Gates.
After entry, I became excited too much, 
that I took an unusually large number of photographs.
Moreover, a few of my photographs had no focus, 
and I did not care about their composition, 
I do not understand why I took them.

帰宅 / On Our Way Home

帰路も歩く
お花を買った人たちは、船の方がラクチン！
というのがわかりました。
私達は何も買わず、また駅まで歩きました。

We walked on our way.
I understood if people bought flowers,
it could be much easier by the boat.
We did not buy any flowers, and walked to the station.

電車の時間の都合で、クラハンジャンクション駅まで行き、
ウィンブルドン駅に戻りました。

We went to Clapham Junction railway station firstly,
and then we returned south to Wimbledon Station.

ウィンブルドン パーク
ウィンブルドンテニスの時に並ぶ場所の隣なのに、
こんな風景があるとは全然気がつきませんでした。

 Wimbledon Park
This is the area next to where people queue for
Wimbledon Tennis Championship.
However, I did not notice the view like this.

散歩 / Walking

英国の家をシェアーしている日本人女性のMicchanが近所の

'ウィンブルドン•パーク/ Wimbledon Park' に連れて行ってくれました。

私がバース/ Bathの学生生活を終えて、ウィンブルドンに引っ越してきた時には、既に歩くのがつらい身体になっていました。

なので、近所を散歩することもできず、ウィンブルドン • パークにも行ったことがありませんでした。

2010、2012年と人工股関節の手術をして、今では、痛みがどこにもなく、歩くのが楽しくなっています。

ウィンブルドン • パーク / Wimbledon Park

ミニゴルフやビーチバレーができる場所もあります。

There are a mini-golf course and a beach volleyball court, too.

Walking 

A Japanese lady, Micchan who shares our Wimbledon house took me to Wimbledon Park, which is close to our house.

When my university life was finished in Bath and then I moved to Wimbledon, my body already had problems so it was very difficult for me to walk.

So I could not even walk in the vicinity and I hadn't been to Wimbledon Park.

I had operations for hip replacements 2010 and 2012, so now I do not feel any pain on my body and I can enjoy walking.

英国に来たな〜！と実感します。
I feel I truly came to Britain.

Here is a cottage-garden style area, too! 

建物はカフェです。

湖がありました！
そういえば、ヨット(ボート)の帆をウィンブルドンテニスの
行列にいる時に見たような.....

There is a lake!
On! Yea! I remember when I was in a queue 
for Wimbledon Tennis, I saw sails....

注意書きに、ケイパービリティ
(Capability / Lancelot Brown, 1716 - 1783 )
の肖像画のコピーと名前があるので、
ここも彼がした仕事なのでしょう！

地下鉄のウィンブルドンパーク駅の近くにあるワインショップ
ここでMicchanが美味しい白ワインを買って
帰宅後に手製料理もワインもごちそうしてくれました！
いろいろありがとう！！！

因に彼女はヘッドパティシエをしていました。
明後日、彼女はフランスへ行ってしまいます...
寂しい.....

This wineshop is close to Wimbledon Park Station.
She bought a lovely white wine  here and then
she cooked for us and we had the wine in our house.
Thank you for everything you have done!!!

By the way, she was a head Patissier.
The day after tomorrow, she will move to France.
I will miss her....

小雨になったので、歩き始めました。
It became drizzle, so we started walking.

採掘場
冒険している気分にさせてくれる雰囲気で、私は好き！

The Quarry
I liked the atmosphere here which made me feel 
I was having an adventure.

木々をくぐって通る、この道はどこへ続くのだろうかと
興味津々でしたが、雨と時間のために先へ行く事は断念しました。

I wonder where the path goes under the trees,
I would know, although I gave up because of the rain 
and lack of time.

草木を分けて進みます。

I am going to go while I push through trees and leaves.

わくわくしつつ進んで...

I was excited while I go ahead...

な〜んだ！今日の最初のところへ戻ってきました。
Oh! My! Just returned to the start point!

テラスからさっき、諦めた小道が見えました。
From the terrace, I could see the path which I had given up taking.

雨の庭
テラスからお城も見えました。
次にここを訪ねたら、お城も行きたいし、
小道も通ってみたいです。
いつになるでしょうか？

Garden in the Rain
From the terrace, I could see the castle.
I would visit  here and go to the castle and 
through the path, next time.
When do I come here?

ケント旅行もこれで終わりです。

Now our 'Kent Trip' is finished.
