1) 8月20日、橋から / From Bridge

泊まったB&Bのすぐ近くに、エスク谷線 / Esk Valley Line のスライツ / Sleights 駅があります。

エスク谷線は、ウィットビー / Whitby 駅からミドルズブラ / Middlesbrough 駅を

結び、電車で、主に通勤、通学者用です。

ノース・ヨークシャー・ムアーズ鉄道 : NYMR の機関車も同じ線をウィットビー駅とグロスモント/ Grosmont 駅間を使用していますが、スライツ駅には止まりません。

B&Bからすぐ近くの橋の上から、スライツ駅を通過する蒸気機関車が見えるのではないかと推測して、現地へ行きました。

Sleights station, Esk Valley Line is very close to our B&B.

Esk Valley Line runs between Whitby and Middlesbrough stations and is mainly for commuters or students and it uses electric trains.

Locomotives of North Yorkshire Moors Railway : NYMR use the same line 

from Whitby to Grosmont, although the locomotives do not stop at Sleights station. 

A bridge is very close to our B&B, I guessed I could see a steam locomotive passing the station from the bridge and I went to the bridge .

駅も結構かわいい
The Station is quite lovely.

この景色を見られて、待っててよかったと思いました。
ジオラマの世界にちょっと見えますよね？

I could see this view and I thought it was good I had waited for it.
This looks like a little diorama, doesn't this?

"橋の上"というべきか、"橋の下"というべきか？
What should I say "on the bridge" or "under the bridge"?

黒い機関車と赤い客車のコンビネーションは、緑に映えます。

I feel the combination of Black Locomotive and Red Carriages 
with the green background looks so attractive.

2) 8月21日、鉄橋 / Railway Bridge 

8月20日にスカーバラ城へB＆Bから向かった際に、偶然見つけた、雰囲気のある

鉄橋があり、そのそばには、エスク谷線 / Esk Valley Line のラズワップ / Ruswarp 駅もありました。

NYMR の蒸気機関車がその鉄橋を渡るのではないかと推測し、もしそうなら、

とても絵になる風景なのではないかとも想像しました。

B&Bをチェックアウトした後の、当初からの予定のロビン・フッズ・ベイへの方向上にあるので、寄ってみました。

When we went to Scarborough Castle on our way, I found a good atmosphere railway bridge by chance and also it is very close to Ruswarp station, Esk Valley Line. 

I guess NYMR locomotives go across the bridge and also I imagined if they pass there, the view must be very picturesque.

We could go there on our way to Robin Hood's Bay, after B&B check‐out and then we did stop there.

可愛い駅です。

Ruswarp Station 
This is a pretty station. 

踏切 と駅/ Level Crossing and the Station

駅と踏切と橋と鉄橋が密集しています。

The station, the level crossing, the bridge and the railway bridge 
are concentrated here. 

鉄橋

鉄橋は、エスク川に架かり、駅のすぐ西側にあります。

Railway Bridge

The bridge over the River Esk just to the west of the station.

たとえ機関車がここになくても、絵になる景色です。

Even though a locomotive is not here,
this view is picturesque.

エスク川と鴨の家族

鴨の雛は何度も写していますが、見かけるとやっぱりカメラを向けてしまいます。

I photographed ducklings many times, although when I bump into them
as before, I turn my camera towards them.

遮断機が降り始めました！

The level crossing gate begins to fall!

ちょっと残念！
蒸気機関車ではありませんでした。 ディーゼル車です。

A Little Disappointing！
It is not a steam engine locomotive.
This is a diesel locomotive.

ディーゼル車でも十分素敵です。

Even the diesel locomotive is lovely enough.

3) 案山子フェアー  / Scarecrow Fair

ラズワップ 駅のそばで、案山子フェアーをしていたので、通りすがりに(?)、

見ました。

There was a scarecrow fair close to Ruswarp station and we passed and looked at it.

4) ラズワップ村 / Ruswarp Village

ラズワップ / Ruswarp 村は、ウィットビー / Whitby の西、約 2.9kmに位置しています。

Ruswarp is a village and less than 2 miles from west of Whitby .

おしゃれなお肉屋さん "Jacksons of Ruswarp "
ドワーフが出てきそうな気がします。
実際に中へ入っていませんがネット(★)で見る限り、
お肉屋さんというよりも、惣菜屋さんという感じです。

I feel a dwarf will come out.
I did not go in, they seem to be a delicatessen rather than a butcher 
as far as I could see from their website : ★.
