駅間前のティールーム

Tearoom in Front of the Station 

ショーウィンドーのグッズが私好みでした。

マグカップが買いたいと思い、中へ入ってみました。

ここで会ったご婦人がピッカリングの町の歩き方を教えてくださいました。

でも私たちにはそれができる時間がなく、残念でした。

ご親切にありがとうございました。

The goods in the shop window are my type.

I would buy their mug cap and went in.

I met a lady here who talked about how to walk in the town.

However, our time was not enough for her way.

Thank you for your kindness.

パンやお菓子も美味しそうでしたが、食べモノは何も買いませんでした。
マグカップを買いました。私のお気に入り！

Their bread and sweets look good but I did not buy any food.
I bought their mug.
This is my favourite mug.

ドラキュラの絵付き
ブラム・ストカー / Bram Stoker (1847 - 1912) がウィットビーの町で
『ドラキュラ』(1897) の着想を得ました。

中にも、持ち手にも絵がたくさん付いています。
Inside and even the handle have many pictures.

ピッカリングでなくウィットビーのマグでしたが
全然構いません。

This is not a Pickering Mug, but Whitby,
I do not care!

底にまで絵がついています。
Even the base has pictures.

銃のお店
日本で見たことがない銃のお店。
狩りのものから、いろいろ置いてあるのでしょうか？

Guns Shop
I have never seen a gun shop in Japan.
They might sell hunting guns or others?

地元に人に教わったパブ。
Local people recommended this pub.

小さなグラスで飲み比べ
英国のパブでは味見は基本的に無料ですが、
まあ、こういうのも時には楽しいかなと思いました。

Beer Taster with small glasses
In Britain, normally beer tastes are free in a pub,
although I thought sometimes this kind might be enjoyable.

こんなふうに使うのですね〜。

機関車に乗ったあとに、Rはまだ運転をしなくてはならないので、
カフェラテです。

After the locomotives R must drive, so he had a glass of café latte.

ピッカリングの町 / Centre of Pickering 

ピッカリングにはお城の遺跡もあったのですが、そこにも行けませんでした。
Pickering has a castle ruin, although we had no time to go there, .

レビシャム駅 / Levisham Station

マーク・エスク川 / Murk Esk

ニュートン デール ホルト駅
無人駅です。ここから男性が一人、乗車しました。
鉄道の初期の時代には馬が車両をひいていて、この駅で馬の交換が行われ、
旅行者は休憩時間を撮りました。

 Newton Dale Halt
A man got on our train from here.
In the early days of the railway, horses were changed here 
and tourists had a rest time.

The ladies look at our train.

ゴスランド駅が見えてきました。
Goathland Station can be seen.
