63395は、97歳！
63395 LNER Class Q6 0-80
LNER : ロンドン・アンド・ノース・イースタン鉄道
 London and North Eastern Railway

型番は、ロンドン・アンド・ノース・イースタン鉄道 ですが、
作ったのは、北東部鉄道 / North Eastern Railwayです。

1918年に造られ、40年以上、 石炭や鉱物を運びました。
北東部機関車保存グループ / North Eastern Locomotive Preservation Group
によってボイラー修理を終え、ここにいます。
63395は、97歳なんですよ〜！働き者のおじいちゃんです！

英国は機関車を保存する活動が盛んに感じます。
遺跡保存も含めて、古いものを保存する意識が高いし、
実現していることと思います。
自分の国の文化に自信があるのですね〜。

'63395' is 97 Years Old!
The model number is 'LNER', although it was made by 
North Eastern Railway in 1918.
It had carried coal and minerals for over 40 years and the boiler was repaired by 
North Eastern Locomotive Preservation Group and now it is here.
'63395' is 97 Years Old! He is a hard worker, Granpa!

I feel preservation activities for Locomotives are enthusiastic in Britain.
In my view, people's sense of preservation is high for old things,
including ruins and they can succeed.
They have confidence about their cultures, don't they?

客車と接続中 / Joining the Carriages 
客車も木製で雰囲気があります。
The body of carriages are wooden which have a good atmosphere, too.

おじいちゃんが上品なレディーをはべらせています？
The Grandpa receives elegant ladies?

エスク谷 線 / Esk Valley Line

ミドルズブラ駅 - ウィットビー駅 /  Middlesbrough Station - Whitby Station

エスク谷 線 / Esk Valley Line
こちらの線路は、北部鉄道 / Northen Rail のひとつ、
ウィットビー駅 からミドルズブラ駅 /Middlesbrough Stationを結ぶ
エスク谷線 / Esk Valley Lineです。
この線は、電車で、主に通勤、通学者用です。
ここ、グロスモント駅と始発駅のウィットビー駅 の間に、

スライツ / Sleights 駅とラズワップ / Ruswarp 駅があり、

スライツ駅 は、私たちのB&Bのすぐそばです。

ミドルズブラは、サッカークラブ、

ミドルズブラ・フットボール・クラブ/ Middlesbrough Football Club

があり、サッカーファンは知っているのかもしれません。

私達のノース・ヨークシャー方面の旅行の最後はミドルズブラでしたが、

この線は利用せず、車で移動しました。

また、サッカーが目的でなく、近代美術館の

"mima" : "Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art" が目的でした。

そのことは後のサクションに載せます。

Esk Valley Line

This line is part of Northen Rail, the Esk Valley Line runs

between Whitby and Middlesbrough Stations.

The line is mainly for commuters or students and it uses electric trains.

Between here, Grosmont and Whitby there are two stations,

Sleights and Ruswarp. 

Sleights station is very close to our B&B.

Middlesbrough has a football club : Middlesbrough Football Club.

If you are a football fan in Japan, you might know the city.

Our last stay in the North Yorkshire trip was Middlesbrough, 

although we did not use the line, we went in our car.

And also our purpose was not the football, it was 

"mima" : "Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art".

I will show you about it in a later section.
