1) スカーバラ / Scarborough 

この街( 市)の名前 : スカーバラ/ Scarborough を聞いて、
'スカーバラ (スカボロ)・フェアー / Scarborough Fair' 
の歌を思うのは、私だけでしょうか？

歌はこのバージョンを選んでみました。
→Scarborough Fair - Celtic Woman live performance ：★

'サイモン&ガーファンクル' によって有名になりましたが、イングランドの伝統的なバラッド (歴史物語の詩)です。

おそらく、そのもとは、スコットランドのバラッド
『エルフィンナイト / The Elfin Knight / 妖精の騎士』(16-17世紀)
と言われています。

吟遊詩人が歌い歩き、アレンジされ、数多くの詩が生まれたそうです。

'サイモン&ガーファンクル'が、アメリカ人なので、もとが英国の歌であるとは、
思いませんでした。

パセリ、セージ、ローズマリーにタイム、と、ハーブの名前が羅列されるのが印象的です。

ウィキペディアに下記のようにあります。

"parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme"の繰り返し句は現代人にはよく理解できないが、象徴的意味に満ちている。

パセリは今日まで消化の助けになり、苦味を消すと言われており、そして中世の医者はこれを霊的な意味としても捉えた。

セージは何千年もの耐久力の象徴として知られている。

ローズマリーは貞節、愛、思い出を表し、現在でもイギリスや他のヨーロッパの国々では花嫁の髪にローズマリーの小枝を挿す慣習がある。

タイムは度胸の象徴であり、歌が書かれた時代、騎士達は戦いに赴く際に楯にタイムの像を付けた。

歌での話し手は、4種のハーブに言及することで、二人の間の苦味を取り除く温和さ、互いの隔たった時間を辛抱強く待つ強さ、孤独の間彼を待つ貞節、出来ない仕事を果たす矛盾した度胸を具えた真の恋人、そして彼女がそれらをできた時に彼の元に戻ってくることを望んでいる。

また、一説にはスカーバラの市には処刑台があり、そこから魔除けの効果があるとされるこれらの香草が歌に織り込まれたともされる。"

おもしろい......私の好きな世界です。

Scarborough 

When we hear this town (city)'s name, Scarborough, do only I think of the song, Scarborough Fair?

I select this version→Scarborough Fair - Celtic Woman live performance ：★

The song became very popular by Simon & Garfunkel, although this is a traditional English ballad and possibly originated from a Scottish ballad : 
"The Elfin Knight "(the 16th or 17th Century).

 Wandering minstrels sang and wandered and then they made many versions.

Simon & Garfunkel was an American duo, so I did not think the original song is from Britain.

For me, the strongest phrase is the list of herbs, 'Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme'.

According to Japanese Wikipedia (translation by me)

"Modern people cannot understand repetition phrases of "parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme" well, but they are full of symbolism.

Parsley helped the digestion, even today and it was said by doctors of the Middle Ages that it helped spiritual well being.

Sage has been known as a symbol of stamina for several thousand years.

Rosemary expresses faithfulness, love, a memory, and there is a custom to put a twig of rosemary in the hair of a bride even now in the U.K. and other European countries.

Thyme was a symbol of courage, and when the song was written about, knights touched an image of thyme on their shields when they proceeded to fight.

The singer of the song expects that their gentleness removes their bitterness, their patience can stand the far distance and waiting for each other, her fidelity can stand solitude, his true love has courage for hard works, and then if he made them he could return to her. 

In addition, another thought was that there was a scaffold in the city of Scarborough, and these herbs were effective as talismans against evil and then interwoven in a song."

It is interesting.... it is my favourite world.

2) 海岸リゾート / Seaside Resort 　

ろばくんの目は物悲しい....
海岸へ、子供たちを喜ばせに行くのでしょうか？

海辺の観光地であることを感じます。
I feel here is seaside sightseeing.

4) お城を下る / Castle Descent

この門を潜る / We passed through this gate.

道標は'北の湾'/'North Bay'を示しています。
お城から北側に降りて行きます。
写真のカップルは私達ではありませんよ。

We descended from the north side.
We are not the couple in the photograph.

私達はくねくね道を選び、こちらの階段は使いませんでした。

We used winding paths, we did not use these steps.
