❺ 2月10日、結婚記念旅行 - 門司港 / Wedding Anniversary Trip - Moji Port, 10th of February, 2016

門司は、貿易港から"門司港レトロ" ：★として、観光スポットとなるべく、港町を大正レトロ調に整備しました。

外国貿易で栄えた時代の建造物が保存してあり、時間があればもっと楽しめたのではないかと思います。

Moji town has changed  from a trading port to a sightseeing spot, 'Moji-Port Retro' and there is a Taishō (1912 -1926) Retro-style town.

The buildings have been kept since the town flourished by foreign trade and I think 

if we had time more we could enjoy more.

門司港レトロハイマート : 写真右の高層ビル
門司港レトロハイマートは黒川紀章 (1934 -2007) デザイン。
1991年建設。
有料の展望室があります。
そこから景色を眺めて見るとのいいな〜と思いましたが、
散策時間がまったくなくなる恐れを感じて行きませんでした。

It has a viewing room at the top.
I guess the views should be good from there,
although I was afraid that if we went there, 
we would loose time for walking in the port, so we did not go.

北九州市旧門司税関は1912年建設

Former Moji Customs Office 
It was built in 1912.

屋内 / Inside

This brass decoration was used for the office.
It was made in 1927.

東京駅を思い出しました。
Here reminds me of Tokyo Station.

港 / Port

ブルーウィングもじ : ★はね橋です。

毎日10時から16時の間で1時間に1回、20分間跳ね上がります。

Blue Wing Moji

It is a drawbridge.

Open for 20 minutes, once an hour from 10:00 ~ 16:00 

横浜の風景を思い出します。/ This reminds me of Yokohama Views

関門橋 が見えます！ 
門司港の後にあそこに向かいます。

 I can see Kanmon Bridge !

After Moji Port, we went towards the bridge.

旧大阪商船 ：★旧大阪商船は、1917年建設。

ここは前を通っただけでした。

Former MOL (Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd.)

Former MOL was built in 1917.

We just walked past here.

旧門司三井倶楽部 : ★
国の重要文化財 /ハーフティンバー様式の建築。
旧門司三井倶楽部は、1921年三井物産の接客宿泊施設、
社交倶楽部として建てられました。
アインシュタイン夫妻も一泊だけですが、利用しました。

1階はレストランになっています。
2階はアインシュタイン (1879 -1955) の宿泊した部屋が見られ、
林芙美子 (ハヤシフミコ / 1903 - 1951) の資料室になっています。
そういえば、私は林芙美子 の作品を一作品も読んだことがないと気づきました。

私たちがここに入ったのが集合時間の15分前でした。
相変わらず、急ぎ足で2階を見ました。

Former Moji Mitsui Club

Important Cultural Property / This building is half-timbered style.

It was built in 1921, as a club with accommodation for guests of Mitsui & Co., Ltd.

The Einstein couple stayed here for just one night.

The first floor is a restaurant.

  Albert Einstein (1879-1955) and his wife stayed in rooms on the second floor

and the library of a novelist, Fumiko Hayashi (1903-1951) 

is in other rooms on the same floor.

Oh! Yes! I haven't read any of her work.

When we entered we only had 15 minutes left before returning to our coach.

As usual we walked and looked there quickly.
