Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi
この日、私と夫Rは、鎌倉広町緑地・散策をしています。
鎌倉広町緑地は、鎌倉市の南西部にある、広さ約48ha (東京ドーム
約10個分、480,000㎡) の '都市林' です。
下記、'都市林' について、公式サイトより。
「都市林」：主として動植物の生息地または生育地である樹林地等の保護を目的とする都市公園"

Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi
On this day, I and my husband R took a walk in Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi.
Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi is an 'Urban Forest' : 'Toshirin' with an area of about 48ha in the southwestern part of Kamakura City.
According to the official website (only in Japanese) of Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi,about 'Urban Forest' : 'Toshirin',
" 'Urban Forest' : A city park whose purpose is mainly to protect the habitats of animals and plants."

1) 鎌倉山入り口 ~ 大桜、下記。
Kamakurayama Entrance ~ 'Ozakura', below.
2) 大桜 ~ ⑫ 雨乞いの池上、下記。
'Ozakura' ~ ⑫ Above Rainmaking Pond, below.
3) ⑫ 雨乞いの池上 ~ ⑬ 相模湾眺望、下記。
⑫ Above Rainmaking Pond ~ ⑬ Sagami Bay View Point, below.
4) ⑬ 相模湾眺望 ~ 富士見坂 ; ⑯ 室ヶ谷入り口、下記。
⑬ Sagami Bay View Point
~ Mt.Fuji Viewing Hill ; ⑯ Murogaya Valley Entrance, below.
3) 谷を下って / Down the Valley
主に桜の開花を探して撮影しました。
I mainly looked for cherry blossom and photographed.

| 根の階段、人工の階段 ここは、'小竹ヶ谷' と呼ばれる谷です。 Root Steps , Manmade Steps This is a valley called 'Kotakegaya Valley'.  人工の階段であっても自然素材が使用されています。 Natural materials are used even for the manmade steps.  だいぶ降りてきました。 We have come down a lot. |

| 地面は湿地に近い状態です。 谷底であることを感じます。 The ground is almost a marsh. I feel that it is the bottom of the valley.  |

| 湿地なので、木や石で道が保護されています。 As it is marsh, the path is protected by wood and stones.  |
鎌倉は、谷が多いので、湿地タイプの土地は多いと思います。
なので、住宅の土台は、それに適して作られています。

木橋 / Wooden Bridge |
Kamakura has many valleys, so I think there are many marsh-type areas.
So the foundations of houses are made accordingly.

カエルの育成と保護をしています。 アライグマがカエルを食べてしまい、カエルの育成が難しいと 冊子に書いてありました。 我が家の庭には時々、タヌキとアライグマが出没します。 They raise and protect frogs. It is written in their booklet that raccoons eat the frogs so it is difficult to raise frogs. A raccoon dog and a raccoon sometimes appear in our garden  |

5) 小竹ヶ谷入り口

| ⑰ 小竹ヶ谷入り口 ここは2月に緑地を訪ねた時にもきました。 そのときは反対側から入り、小竹ヶ谷には入らず Uターンしました。 '苗園'と言う説明があり、この周辺はそう言う土地なのだと 理解しました。 今回、地図で、⑰ 小竹ヶ谷入り口'と記されていることに 気がつきました。 ⑰ Kotakegaya Valley Entrance We came here when we visited Ryokuchi in February. At that time, we entered from the other side and made a U-turn without entering Kotakegaya Valley. There was an explanation called 'Tree Nursery ', and I understood that this area is such a land. This time, I noticed that the map says here is ⑰ Kotakegaya Valley Entrance.  ⑰ 小竹ヶ谷入り口 来た道を振り返ります。 この景色からなら、'入り口'と言うイメージはしますね。 ⑰ Kotakegaya Valley Entrance Look back on the way we had come. 殆ど外周コースを歩いてきましたが、ここからは緑地の真ん中を登ってゆきます。
この登りが結構キツかった！
次のセクションはこの登りからです。
We have walked most of the Outer Circumference Course, but from here we would climb up through the middle of Ryokuchi.
This climb was pretty tough!
The next section is from this climb.
