3月15日に私と夫Rは、 鎌倉広町緑地の大桜を見に行きました。

その機会を利用して、まだ歩いたことがなかった、鎌倉広町緑地の外周コースを歩いてみようと思いました。

このセクションは、鎌倉広町緑地の鎌倉山入り口までの、道の風景の写真を載せています。

初めて見ました。

Small Magnolia
I saw a magnolia of this size for the first time.

Way Out

On 15th of March, I and my husband R went to see the Big Cherry Tree : 'Ozakura' in Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi.

We decided to take this opportunity to walk the Outer Circumference Course of Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi, which we hadn't walked yet.

This section contains photographs of the scenery on the way to the Kamakurayama Entrance of Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi.

忘れな草
忘れな草 (勿忘草  / ワスレナグサ) は可愛らしい花です。
忘れな草の季語は春です。

Forget-me-not
Forget-me-nots (Myosotis) are pretty flowers.
In Japanese, Forget-me-not's Kigo signifies spring.
According to Wiki about Kigo, 

Kigo (季語, "season word") is a word or phrase associated 

with a particular season, used in traditional forms of 

Japanese poetry. 

Kigo are used in the collaborative linked-verse

 forms renga and renku, as well as in haiku, 

to indicate the season referred to in the stanza. 

花の由来

勿忘草の花の由来はドイツから。(下記、Wikiより）
"昔、騎士ルドルフは、ドナウ川の岸辺に咲くこの花を、恋人ベルタのために摘もうと岸を降りたが、誤って川の流れに飲まれてしまう。

ルドルフは最後の力を尽くして花を岸に投げ、

「Vergiss-mein-nicht!」（僕を忘れないで）

という言葉を残して死んだ。

残されたベルタはルドルフの墓にその花を供え、彼の最期の言葉を花の名にした。"

日本では、勿忘草はこの伝説により、ロマンチくな切ない花のイメージがあるように思います。

西洋圏では、フリーメイソンのバッジに使用されたり、戦争や虐殺により亡くなった人々のための記念バッジなどのデザインに使用され、深い悲しみの象徴になっています。

Origin of  Flower

The origin of the name 'Forget-me-not' is from Germany. 

According to Japanese Wiki about Forget-me-not : 忘れな草, 

(Translated by me)

"Once upon a time, the Knight Rudolf went down the shore to pick this flower on the banks of the Danube for his girl friend, Bertha, but he was accidentally swallowed by the river.

The last thing Rudolf did was to throw the flowers to the shore and he died calling the words "Vergiss-mein-nicht!" (Don't forget me).

Bertha offered the flowers to Rudolf's tomb and named the flower after his last words. "

I think in Japan, Forget-me-nots have the image of romantic and sad flowers according to this legend.

In the West, it is used in Freemasonry badges and in designs, and also commemorative badges for people who died in war or genocide, it has become a symbol of deep sorrow.

シャクナゲ (石楠花 / 石南花) だと思うのですが...。
撮影している場所から、かなり距離があります。
野生でしょうか？

Rhododendron
I think it's a Rhododendron ....
It is a considerable distance away
from the place where I photographed.
Is it wild?

河津桜？
河津桜 (カワヅザクラ)でしょうか？

Kawazu-zakura?
Is it Kawazu-zakura Cherry?

最近、河津桜は、寒緋桜 (カンヒザクラ)と大島桜 (オオシマザクラ)

の交配から生まれたことを知りました。

Recently, I found out that Kawazu-zakura was bred

 from the mating of Prunus Campanulata : Kanhi-zakura 

and  Prunus Speciosa : 

Oshima- zakura : Oshima Cherry.

山桜 
以前は、豆桜 (マメザクラ)かもしれないと思ったのですが
どちらかと言うと山桜 (ヤマザクラ) ではないかと
今は思っています。

Yama-zakura
Previously, I thought that it might be a Prunus Incisa, 
but now I think if anything
it is a Yama-zakura (Cerasus Jamasakura : H.Ohba).



この花を見ると大島桜なのかも
しれないとも思います。

When I look at this flower,
I think it may be Oshima Cherry.

最近、お気に入りの木
Recently My Favourite Tree

何の木かは、わかりません。
I don't know which kind of tree it is.

コブシ?
コブシ（辛夷 /拳) でしょうか？

Magnolia Kobus?

Is it Magnolia Kobus?

和風な感じがします...着物をイメージさせます。
I feel Japanese style... it let me imagine Kimono.

ハナニラ
ハナニラの別名はベツレヘムの星。
英語では、'春の星の花'。
好きな花です。
我が家の庭では育たちませんでした。

Spring Starflower : Hananira
Hananira : Spring Starflower( Ipheion uniflorum)'s 
another name is the Star of Bethlehem.
I like this flower.
This flower did not grow in our garden.

黄梅
黄梅 (オウバイ)と言う花を初めて知りました。

Winter Jasmine
I found out about a flower called Winter Jasmine.

大きなローズマリー

立派なローズマリーですね〜。

Big Rosemary

It's a wonderful rosemary, isn't it?

鎌倉広町緑地の散策を終えて、家に帰ります。

After exploring Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi, we would go home.

相模湾とヨット
Sagami Bay and Yacht

帰り道で一番驚いたのは、行きには咲いていなかった

道沿いのソメイヨシノ(染井吉野) が開花していたことです。

これが、私達にとって、今年、初めての鎌倉山の

ソメイヨシノの開花でした。

What surprised me most on our way home was that 

the Yoshino Cherry : Somei-yoshino along the road, 

which had not bloomed on the way to the destination, 

was in bloom.

This was our first sighting of flowering Yoshino Cherry

 in Kamakurayama this year.

数多くは咲いていないのに、

同じ木の桜の写真は何枚もあります(笑)。

There are not many cherry blossoms on the same tree, 

even though there are many my photographs (Laugh).

野草のようなのですが、意識的に植栽されているようなのです。
この場所にとても似合っていると思います。
この写真は行きに撮影し、下の写真は帰りに撮影しました。
なので、光の有り様が違います。

It's like wild grass, but it seems to be consciously planted.

I think it suits this place very well.

This photograph was taken on our way out and 

the photographs below were taken on the way home.

Therefore, the state of light is different.

この植物の名前はわかりません。

I don't know the name of this plant.

道を挟んで、谷側にも同じ植物が育っています。
花壇から種が飛来したのでしょうか？

The same plant grows on the valley side across the road.

Did the seeds fly from the flowerbed?

山の木々の中に桜が咲いていました。
桜ですよね？
オオシマザクラでしょうか？

Cherry blossoms were blooming in the trees in the mountains.

It’s a cherry, right?

Is it Oshima Cherry?

大島桜は、染井吉野や河津桜の母親です。

他にも子供はたくさんあり、大島桜を母とする桜は

里桜 (サトザクラ) と呼ばれます。

Oshima-zakura is the mother of Yoshino Cherry 

and Kawazu-zakura.

There are many other children, and cherry trees, 

whose mother is Oshima Cherry and together they

 are called Sato-zakura : Cerasus Sato-zakura Group.

キブシ
'キブシ' の花は、面白い形です。
花は、総状花序 (ソウジョウカジョ)に咲きます。
私は、鎌倉広町緑地でキブシを知ったのですが、
鎌倉山の道脇にもありました。
緑地のキブシと比べると、このキブシ花の数は多く、
また、長い (大きい) です。

Stachyurus Praecox : Kibushi

 'Stachyurus Praecox' : Kibushi's flower 

is an interesting shape.

The flowers bloom in racemes.

I found out about Kibushi in Kamakura Hiromachi Ryokuchi, 

but it is also on the side of a road in Kamakurayama.

Compared to Kibushi in Ryokuchi, 

the number of this Kibushi's flower is larger,

 and they are longer (bigger).

玄関脇のコーナー
それぞれの家が工夫をし、外観を保っています。
見るのは楽しいことです。

Corner Beside Entrance
Each house has been devised to maintain its appearance.
It's fun to see.

門脇に
この写真では表現できていませんが
実際はとてもお洒落な感じなのです。

Beside  Gate 
I can't express it in this photo,
but it's actually very stylish.

日向ぼっこ
鎌倉山では、あまり猫を見かけません。
まあ、最近の飼い猫は家から出ないようですから...。
犬は、よく見ます。
この猫は、ちょっとお年寄り？

Basking in the Sun
I don't see many cats in Kamakurayama.
Well, nowadays pet cats don't seem to leave their house ...
I often see dogs.
Is this cat a little old?

3匹一緒のお散歩
みんな、こっちを見てます！
「誰？敵か味方か？」
と言う感じですね。

Walk with 3 Dogs!
Everyone is looking at us!
"Who? Enemy or ally?"
They seem to think that.

最後の登り 
もうすぐ我が家です。
緩やかな登りなので元気な時はあまり気になりませんが
疲れて帰ってくる時はかなりきついです。

Last Climb

It will be our home soon.

It's a gentle climb, so I don't really care when I'm fine, 

but when I'm tired and come home, it's pretty tough.
