パーシー・スローアー / Percy Thrower の彫像

パーシー・スローアー (1913 - 1988) は、ディングルの責任者でした。

彼は著名な庭師であり、園芸家であり、執筆者であり、
プレゼンテイターでもありました。

たくさんの園芸番組によって人気を得ました。

彼は'英国で初めての庭師の著名人'と評されます。

この彫像、庭の中で唐突としていて、ちょっとびっくりします。

ここにはこの彫像のほか、ちょろちょろといろいろなオブジェ類があり

そのセンスに違和感を抱きもしますが、

それも地方色としての良いのかもしれないと思います。

 Percy Thrower Statue

Percy Thrower (1913 - 1988) : ★ ★ was the Parks Superintendent and 

was a popular gardener, horticulturist, writer and broadcaster.

He became popular by many garden programs.

He has been described as "Britain's first celebrity gardener".

This statue is abrupt in the garden and I was a little surprised.

Sometimes things of kinds of objects appear in the garden and 

I had feelings of wrongness, however, I think it might be alright as local colours.

ディングルに来る前に何度となく見た陶芸作品シリーズ、
ここにもあります。
そしてようやく、下のプレートから正体が判明しました。
シュルーズブリの
'ウエイクマン学校と芸術大学 / Wakeman School and Arts College'
が閉鎖されるときに、30年間に作った生徒作品をまとめて、
町の中にアートの轍を残したのです。
このシリーズは見かけるたびに、気になっていたので、
正体がわかってすっきり！
私は、カドフェルの跡を追いつつ、
結果的にこの学校の軌跡も追っていたのですね。

Before the Dingle, I have seen the ceramics work series a few times,
here is too.
Eventually I found out their true characters  by a plate below.

According to Wakeman School Wiki: ★ ,

"To mark its closure and celebrate its role in Shrewsbury the school created The Wakeman 'Look Up' Art Town Trail featuring the work of Wakeman students spanning over 30 years as a lasting legacy to the school."

When I saw the series every time in the town, they were to be on my mind,
now I knew them and I feel fine!
While I followed Cadfael, accordingly I followed the school's trail, didn't I?
