❷7月9日 / Rocke Cottage Tea Rooms / 9th of July

英国には不便な所に良いティーハウスも時々あります。

アイアンブリイジに行くことを決めたあと、どこかでお茶をと思った 'ティールーム' : "Rocke Cottage Tea Rooms" もそんな場所にありました。

このティールームは、紅茶界のオスカー賞と言われる
"The tea Guide Top Tea Place" の2011年の賞：★
を獲得したと聞いていました。

そのほかのリサーチは、あまりしていませんでしたし、周辺は田園地帯でこれと
いった目印もなく、探し当てるのに苦労しました。

"Rocke Cottage Tea Rooms" 

In Britain, sometimes good tea houses are inconveniently situated. 

After we decided we were going to go Ironbridge, we would go to a tea house: 
'Rocke Cottage Tea Rooms' which is or was one of them.

I heard the tea room got The tea Guide Top UK the Place 2011 Award : ★

They say that the award is like the Oscar of the tea world.

However, I did not research more and also there are rural areas, there did not have landmarks, we needed some effort for finding it. 

なかなか見つからず、行ったり来たりしている間に
彼女たちに複数回会いました。

It was hard finding the 'Tea Rooms', while we went and back forth,
we saw them a few times.

ようやく見つけた！/ Finally Finding!


看板を見過ごしてこの前を通りすぎてしまったのですね。
We missed the sign and passed by here.

古い建物を使用しています。
英国は本物の古い建物が多いことが素晴らしいです。

They use the old building.
It is great there are many really old buildings in Britain.

たくさんの紅茶の種類があります。
新鮮なサラダ、素朴な食事などが
ここのロケーションにあっていると感じました。
ですが、これが紅茶界のオスカー賞を獲得したのかな？という疑問はわきました。
悪くはないけれど、優れているともそれほど思わないからです。
オーナーさんとお話をしたら、その方は新しい オーナーさんで、
賞をとったときの方ではありませんでした。

They have many kinds of tea.
There were  fresh salad and simple meals.
I feel they suit this location.
However, I wonder if these were the Award which they say 
the Oscar of the tea world.
They were not bad but I did not think they could get the Award.
Later we talked with the owner who is new, a different person 
from when they got the Award.

"Lucky Green Dragon"
メニューに"Lucky Green Dragon"を見つけました。
紅茶が飲みたかったので、煎茶系に思えるこれは注文せず、
撮影だけしました。

I found "Lucky Green Dragon" in the Menu.
I wanted English tea, so I just photographed.

後ろ
近くにあれば時々行くかもしれませんが、
ここを目指してロンドンやマンチェスターから
行く気にはなれないな〜と感じました。

Back 
If they were close to us, I might visit here.
although I do not think I would come here from London or Manchester.

駐車場の隣にいるヤギさんが建物を偶然にあっています。
The goat was next  to a car park which suited the building by chance.
