今日、一日ドーバー城に費やしました。

最後は、お城の裏側(北側)と外縁部の見学です。

Today, we spend all day looking at 'Dover Castle'.

 Lastly, we saw the back area : the north side and outer perimeter

お城の北側にある門: 'King's  Gate' へ
Towards 'King's  Gate' : the north of the castle

丘を登るサービスがあるようですが、
私達は利用しませんでした。

They seem to have a service for the hill,
although we did not use it.

左下の丸窓のところに、
'中世のトンネル / Medieval Tunnels'
への入り口があります。

入り口から狭い階段をおりると、
下へさがるスロープになっています。
なんとなく、いや〜な感じ。
一人だったら、進めませんね。

From the entrance we went down narrow stairs, 
I saw a downward slope.
I felt it was not very lovely.
If I was alone, I could not go there. 

カーブを曲がってもまだくだる....
ここで、ちょっと戻りたくなりましたが、
先に光が見えたので進みました。

After the curve, still the passage descends, 
here I would return, however, 
I noticed the light ahead, so I went forward.

大砲がたくさん
いろいろな種類の大砲がありました。

Many Cannons!
There are various cannons.

トンネルの窓から西側の門：
'Constable's Gate'を見る

突き当たりはこんな感じ
The end of the tunnel is like this.

戻って来ました！
あの階段を上れば、地上！！！

We came back!
Up these stairs, we would be back above ground!!!

北西側から
子供が土手を滑って遊んでいます。

From the North West side
Children play, they slide down the bank.

壁から白薔薇が咲いています。

The white roses blossom from the wall.

The Castle in the Mist

城壁の上は平和な感じ？
でもここにも榴弾砲がいくつか置いてあります。

It seems to be a peaceful atmosphere?
However, a few howitzers are here, too.

どこにでもカモメ!
彼らは翼があるから、境界線もゲートも超えて行けるのです。

Everywhere Seagulls!
They have wings, so they can pass over boundary lines and gates.
