Pub: Farriers Arms

基本的にフラッシュを用いずに撮影していますので、

'ぼけぼけちゃん'の写真もいくつか混じっています、すみません。

Basically I do not use a flash for photographs, so here are some without focus, sorry!

'Farriers Arms' 

B&B : Stone Green Farm に泊まった２日間の夕飯は、

'Farriers Arms' というパブ(居酒屋)でとりました。

このパブは、専用の醸造所を持っています。

We stayed two nights B&B : Stone Green Farm,
both evenings we went to a pub : 'Farriers Arms' for our dinner.The pub has its own brewery.

幸運のお守り / Horseshoe Brasses
こちらでは蹄鉄は幸運のお守りで、
パブではよく見かけます。
'Horseshoe Brasses'
ホースシュー ブラスイズ
真鍮製蹄鉄の記念飾り
これが珍しく思わないくらいの回数を
パブに入っていませんので、見かけると
結構写真に撮ってしまいます。
また、一目につくように飾らないと
効果がないとも言われているので、
お店やパブの飾りには良いのかもしれません。

Lucky charms / Horseshoe Brasses
Horseshoe is lucky charm,
I often see in pubs.
However, I do not go to pubs so much that
I feel they are common, so when I see them, 
I usually take photograph.
And also sometimes people believe
 if the horseshoe is not displayed prominently,
it could not work well, 
so it might suit being decoration in the shop or pub.

初日は、写真左のテーブルで食事をしました。
The first day, we had our meal at the left table in this photograph. 

二晩めは、ここで食事をしました。
The second night, we had meals on this table.

人数が多ければ、こんな席もあります。
They have a table like this for a group.

 

食事 / Meal 

両晩とも同じビールを注文したのに、
とても違う味でした。
確かめても、同じものだという答え.....?????

I had the same beer both nights,
although the tastes were very different.
Even when we asked them, the answer was the same.....?????

エール (ビール) 入りのパン
しっとりめで、香りがあり、美味しかった！

Bread made with Ale (beer)
It is moist, fragrant and lovely!

日曜日には平日にはないメニューがあります。
多くは、ローストビーフのようなオーブン料理。

On Sunday, they have special meals.
Most are oven cooked, like roast beef.

私は'Hop Pickers Salad'を美味しくいただきました。
ポーク、ビーフ、ラムの中からひとつ選べたので、
ラムを選びました。

I had 'Hop Pickers Salad' and enjoyed it.
The meat can be selected from pork, beef and lamb.
I had lamb.

キャー、すっごいぼけぼけ〜！すみません。
Rはローストビーフ、ヨークシャープディング、野菜。

Waoo! This is hazy, sorry!R had Roast beef, 
Yorkshire pudding and vegetables.

二日目、お魚とポテト、湯で野菜
ちょっと魚臭かったかな？
ここは、お肉形の方が安全かも？
'フィッシュ アンド チップス'を除いてね。

The second meal: Fish, Potato and vegetables.
I felt fish smelt a little strong.
Here might be good at meat rather than fish meals,
except 'Fish and Chips'.

これは彼の嫌いなものがまじっていないので、
どこのお店でも安全です。

R had 'Fish and Chips'
This does not have things, he hates,
so every restaurant is safe for him.
