The Broadwalk

| ここの庭の中で、'The Broadwalk'❶ が一番力が入っているところなのかもしれません。 They must put a lot of effort into 'The Broadwalk'❶ in their gardens. |

| カラフルな花々が咲いています。 けれども、ここで一番インパクトがあるのは、 バックのイチイの木々でしょう。 この形は、当初からのものではありませんでした。 1947年、ここに珍しくも大雪が降り、 木々がダメージを受けました。 ダメージ部分を刈り取り、その形が面白いとされて、 その後強調され、今のような珍しい形になったのです。 There are colourful flowers. However, the yew hedges have the most impact there. They haven't been in these forms since they planted. In 1947, here had heavy snowfall, then trees had damage. They clipped the damaged branches, the form was recognised as interesting and since then they keep exaggerated shapes so now they are unusual like that. |
