Gate to Entrance

ホップのための建物(だった？)が、こんなにあります。

ここは建物、庭園、農場があります。

There are many buildings for hops (Humulus lupulus), like these.

There are buildings, gardens and farm.

シシングハースト カッスル / Sissinghurst Castleは、
ナショナル トラストが管理しています。

ここのガーデンスタイルは、作家で外交官であった

ハロルド•ニコルソン (1886 - 1968) と

詩人、小説家、そして庭師であった

ヴィッタ•サックヴィル•ウエスト (1892 - 1962) が作りました。

1930年に彼らがここに来て、

彼らは新しい何かを作るつもりはなく、

寧ろ忘れ去られてしまったセンス : 'ロマンティックなサクソン、ローマ風、ケント風なチューダー'をイメージしたのです。

ですが、ふたりのテーストは多少違っていました。

けれど、違うからこそ、またそこに新しい何かが生まれたように

私には感じられます。

National Trust manages Sissinghurst Castle.

This gardens style was made by

 Harold Nicolson (1886 - 1968) ,the writer and diplomat, 

and Vita Sackville-West (1892 - 1962), poet, novelist and gardener.

They came here in 1930 and they would make 'a romantic Saxon, Roman, Tudor Kent' rather than something new, 

although their tastes were a little different.

However, I think the difference made new something.

'Forecourt' と呼ばれているところで、

ガーデンへの入り口になります。

こちら側の 建物の中は図書館です。
The far end of the building is a library.

レンガ塀と赤い薔薇は似合いますね。
The brick wall and red roses are a good combination, aren't they?

Delos and Priest's House

'秘密の花園'への戸口のよう
ここからDelos ❿へ行きます。

This doorway is like a 'Secret Garden'. 
We are going to 'Delos'❿ from here.
