1) 鎌倉の鳶 / Kite in Kamakura

木にとまっているのがわかりますか？

Can you recognize a kite on a branch?

鎌倉は、鳶(トビ、トンビ)がたくさんいます。ウィキペディアの説明の中にも、江ノ島での鳶の問題をとりあげています。私も、ほぼ毎日、家から鳶を見ます。なので珍しくは感じませんが、彼らの飛翔がかっこいいので、ついつい、姿を見ると、目で追ってしまいます。その都度、空を飛べることに憧れを持たされます。

まあ、浜辺や他の場所でも近くにいたり、覚園寺の上を60羽くらいの鳶が旋回していると、怖すぎますけれど.......。

Kite in Kamakura

There are many kites in Kamakura. Nowadays they make problems for example, they steal food from people's hand.

I see them almost every day. It is not uncommon, indeed when I see one, I follow it until it goes out of view, because the flight is so cool!

Well, when a kite or kites are really close to me at the beach and other places, or when about sixty kites make a circular flight over Kakuonji - Temple, I feel really very scared.

2)鳶 の妊婦さん? / This might be a pregnant kite?

今日の鳶は様子がおかしい。

日頃は、見られているとわかると、居心地が悪いのか、こちらが手出しはできない位置にいるとしても、居座ることはしません。

けれども、こちらが鳶を見ているのを知っているようなのに、もぞもぞと動きますが、飛び立ちません。

けがでもしているのかしら？

1時間程度、同じところにいました。

いつのまにか、いなくなっていました。

妊婦さんだったのかもしれませんね〜。

This might be a pregnant kite?

The kite is strange, today!

Usually when they realize that I look at them, they might be uncomfortable, so they take off, even though they are well beyond my reach.

This kite seemed to know that I was watching and the kite fidgeted, although it did not take off.

I wondered if it had an injury.

It stayed there for about one hour. It has gone without my knowledge.

I guess it might have been pregnant.
