部屋で今後の予定を看護士さんから説明を受けます。
患者の殆どが似たような手術をするので、その段取りもほぼ同じ。

鎌倉湘南人工関節センターに入院。
この病院では、

この病院での手術の予約をとるのも大変、通常1年半、
1年待ち、運が良くても半年待ちなのだそうです。
(2011年以降、徐々に予約が取りやすい方向へ改善されています)

私はとてもラッキーで、12月の初診で、2011年2月3日 (節分) の手術枠を確保できたのでした。
病室は個室が11床、2人部屋が8床あり、私の部屋は明るい2人部屋でした。
ですが、お隣がいなかったので、個室よりもひろい空間でリラックスできました。

6日に、お隣がいらしたあとも、彼女の他の病院の体験談を聞く事ができたので、有意義でした。
そうそう、携帯電話も使用できました。

Entering Hospital
I entered Shounan Kamakura Joint Reconstruction Center on second of February, the day before my operation day.
Every months this hospital has about 60 operations :
"MIS : Minimally Invasive Surgery"
(MITHA : Minimally Invasive Total Hip Arthroplasty) .

The MIS method is different from usual one about the size of the opening.
The MIS makes the opening about 6 - 8cm, usual one makes it about 15 - 20cm, so the patients can recover quicker by MIS than by the usual.

Now in Japan, there are very few doctors who can do MIS, so it is quite difficult to book an operation in this hospital.

I was very lucky, when I had my initial medical examination in December, I could book on 3rd February 2011.
They have 11 single bedrooms and 8 twin rooms.

On! Yes, I could use my mobile phone and I remember that nurses call each other by their phone.

手術の翌日から一人でトイレに行ったり、顔を洗ったりするために、これらは全ての部屋に備え付けられています。

Rehabilitation starts the day after the operation, the patients wash their faces and go to the toilet, so every room has toilet, shower and washbasin.
Each wardrobe has a small fridge.
The room is luxurious for me.

その服はよく'宇宙服のような'と表現されますが、まだ

でも、移動ベッドから病室のベッドに移し替えられる時に、体から管がぬけて血がとびちったのは、ちょっといただけませんでしたね。
そこにいた先生が気がついて
"オイオイ、抜けてる、抜けてる！大丈夫かいな？"
"ぶちって音がしましたよ、今！"
と、私。

まあ、こうして生きているので、

急いで看護士さんが抜けた管を私の体のどこかのソケットにつけました.....
私は起き上がれなかったし、その後血つきカーテンはとりかえてくれたし、床はふいてくれましたから、自分の血を見なくてすんだのは、良かったです！
もっと麻酔が長くきいていたほうが良かったかしら？ 笑

Hurriedly one of the nurses reconnected the tube into a socket somewhere on my body.
I could not get up, and also later a curtain with the blood was changed and cleaned the floor was cleaned so

容器も松花堂弁当風でした。
低予算の中、工夫されているの感じます。

私には塩がきつく感じられました。

とりあえず、杖を持ってゆっくり歩けるし、階段も登り降りしますけどね。

The hospital charges me for a small plastic card stating that I have a metal hip joint, so I ordered one.
Although the joint may still trigger an alarm and a gloomy mood.
I do not go abroad many times, so is it strange that I worry about it?

私は退院日の晩に数回分の食事の料理をしました。
よろよろしつつも、あとで痛みがありつつも、
こんなことができるのですから、やっぱり退院しなければならなかったのでしょうね？
