またがる保存鉄道で、

ブリッジノース駅 / Bridgnorth Railway Station からKidderminster Railway Station 

を結んでいます。

The Severn Valley Railway : ★ is a heritage line in Shropshire and Worcestershire, and connects Bridgnorth Railway Station to Kidderminster Railway Station.

私達は、ブリッジノース駅 / Bridgnorth Railway Station で乗車し、

ビュードゥリー駅 / Bewdley Railway Station で下車しました。

We got on at Bridgnorth Railway Station and got off at Bewdley Railway Station.

英国の家の屋根が好きです。

煙突と赤い瓦の組み合わせに惹かれるのかもしれません。

I like the rooves of British houses.

I may be drawn to the combination of the chimney and the red roof tiles.

黒い屋根よりも赤レンガ色の屋根の方が良いけれど、
もっと古い建物になるとスレート (粘板岩 /ネンバンガン) の黒い屋根が好きです。
そういえば、東京駅の屋根もスレートです。

I prefer a red brick colour roof to a black roof, 
although if it is an older building, I would prefer a slate black roof.
For that matter, the roof of Tokyo Station is also slate.

A. 美しい所 / Beautiful Place
ビュードゥリーは、セヴァーン川に沿った
ジョージアン様式 / Georgian architecture の小さな町で、
ウスターシャー州 / Worcestershireの
ワイヤーフォレスト地区 / Wyre Forest District にあります。

私は、'ジョージアン様式'のイメージがほとんどなかったので、ネット検索しましたら、下記を見つけ、なんとなくは理解しました。

"ジョージアン様式とは、1714年～1811年に建てられた、シンメトリー（左右対称）を基本としたデザインが特徴の建物のデザインです。

比較的シンプルで端正な顔立ちの印象で、ペディメント（三角形の切妻壁）、オーダー（柱）、ピラスター（付け柱）等、ルネサンスの影響を受けた古典的な装飾要素を含んでいます。"

ちなみにジョージアン朝(時代)とは

ジョージ1世 (1660-1724 / 在位1714 -1727) から
ジョージ4世 (1762 - 1830 / 在位1820 -1826).
までの治世です。

町の名前はフランス語の 'Beau Lieu'に由来し、"美しい所"という意味です。

こんな感じの建物がジョージアン様式建築かと思います。

Beautiful Place

Bewdley is a small Georgian town along the River Severn, in the Wyre Forest District of Worcestershire.

I had few images of  'Georgian town' or 'Georgian style', so when I searched the internet, I found the following and understood it somehow.

According to a blog by an architect, Koichi Oo,

"Georgian style / Georgian architecture is a building designed between 1714 and 1811 that features a symmetry-based design.

It has a relatively simple and neat appearance, and includes classic decoration elements influenced by the Renaissance, such as pediments (triangular gable walls), orders (pillars), and pilasters. "

By the way, the Georgian era is 

the reign of George I (1660-1724 / reign 1714 -1727)

to George IV (1762 - 1830 / reign 1820 -1826).

The name of the town came from the French words 'Beau Lieu' - "beautiful place".

駅は、セヴァーン川 / River Severn の東岸に位置しています。
地図の上が東、下が西になります。

Bewdley Railway Station is located on the Eastern bank of the River Severn.

 East is top the map and west is low.

白壁(漆喰)に木枠: ハーフティンバーは、
チューダー様式なのですよね。

The wooden frame on the white wall (plaster) : Half timbering 
is Tudor style (architecture) , isn't it? 

倉庫風ですが、現在はマンション (アパート) のようです。
It's like a warehouse, but now it looks like flats.

この建物はジョージアン朝 (1714 - 1830~37頃)よりも前の時代 を思わせます。

藁葺き屋根の家をイメージします。

この建物はアパート(マンション)でしょうか？

This building is reminiscent of before time Georgian era (1714 -  1830–37).

I imagine a house with a thatched roof.

Is this building flats?

西岸から東岸を見る / From Western Bank to Eastern Bank

惹かれる建物は同じで、その建物を角度を変えてなんども撮影してしまいます。

The buildings that attract me are the same, and I photographed these from different angles many times.

C.セヴァーン川の西側  / West Side of the River Severn

ビュードゥリーの町の中心は西岸にひらけています。

ビュードゥリー博物館もこちら側ですが、違うセクションに載せます。

The centre of the town is open on the west bank.

The Bewdley Museum is on this side, but it will be in a different section.

ロード・ストリート

塔は、聖アン教会。

1745年に聖アン教会は建てられました。

この教会はジョージアン様式らしいです。

In 1745 St Anne’s church was built. 

This church seems to be Georgian style.

私は甘いものが苦手ですが、ショーウィンドウは好きです。
I do not like sweets so much, though I like show shop windows.

パン屋さんを見るのも好き！ 
この時は中へは入りませんでした。
'英国旗：ユニオンジャック'は色々なものにデザインされたり、
ディスプレイに使用されますが
'日本国旗 : 日の丸' はそういった類に使用されずらいですね。
国旗の代わりに、桜とか富士山とかが使用されるのかな？

 I also like to see a bakery!
I didn't go inside at this time.
'British Flag: Union Jack' is designed in various ways and used for displays, 
although the 'Japanese flag : Hinomaru' is hard to use in such a way.
Are Japanese cherry or Mt. Fuji used instead of 'Hinomaru'?

撮影時、クラフト・センターは閉まっているように見えました。
ですが、"開店10:00 -16:00  / 月 - 土"の表示はあります。

At the time of the photograph, the craft centre seemed to be closed.However, there is an indication of "Open 10: 00-16: 00 / Mon-Sat".

おとぎ話に出てくる家のよう...
