ピーク ディストリクト国立公園 ：★
私とRは、マンチェスターにあるRの実家を訪ねました。
この日は、いつもと違うルートを使用。
'ピーク ディストリクト / Peak District 国立公園'を通過して向かったのです。

Peak District
I and R visited his mother's house in Manchester.
We used a different route from usual.
The route was through the Peak District National Park.

'ピーク ディストリクト公園'がマンチェスターから近いことを
私は知りませんでした。
湖水地方 (レイク ディストリクト/ Lake District) は日本でも有名ですが、
'ピーク ディストリクト(Peak District)'は、あまり知られていないと思います。
ですが、英国内ではもっとも観光客が多い国立公園です。

I did not realize the Peak District is quite close to Manchester.
I think in Japan, Lake District is very popular,
although Peak District is not.
However, the number of visitors to the Peak District
is the biggest among the British National Parks.

レディバワー貯水池 : Ladybower Reservoir

マンチェスター到着が目的であったので、ほとんど車で流しただけでした。
いつか、ゆっくり回ってみたいです。

Our purpose was travelling to Manchester on the day,
so we mostly just drove through the Park.
One day I would visit slowly.
