'Ceramics Areas': ★
V&A 博物館に行きました。
お目当ては陶芸/CERAMICSのエリア。
私が留学中(2004-2007)は、このエリアの大部分は閉鎖されてました。
2007年に再オープンのはずでしたが、実際は2010年でした。
ちなみに私の学科は "Ceramics and Three Dimensional Design".

I went to the V&A Museum.
My purpose was to see the 'Ceramics Areas'.
While I studied in Britain, most of the areas were closed.
They said they would open in 2007, however, it was only opened in 2010.
By the way my course was "Ceramics and Three Dimensional Design".

トフト ウエアー/ Toft Ware

| Toft Ware [Dish, Ralph Simpson, 1710-1719. Museum no. C.125-1938] 留学初期に心惹かれた英国らしいお皿で、 スリップウエアー/ slipware の技法が用いられています。 今でも好きです。 陶芸家としては、トーマス•トフト/ Thomas Toft が有名です。 In my early study, I was attracted by this which is quite British and used slipware technique. I still like it. |
