海蔵寺、2013年11月24日 / Kaizo-ji, 24th of November, 2013

秋のお出かけ / Autumn Outing

紅葉の季節で、母がやって来て、海蔵寺へ行きました。

私は、紅葉のシーズンに、来客と一緒にこのお寺にくることが多いように思います。

海蔵寺は、鎌倉駅から近く、建物と紅葉のバランスが良く、日本庭園もあり、
鎌倉特有の'やぐら'もあるからです。

写真撮影も絵になる場が多いように感じています。

It was autumn colour season, so my mother visited us and then we went to Kaizo-ji which was established in 1253.

Once it was burned down with the fall of Kamakura Shogunate in 1333, and later rebuilt in 1394.

Often I seem to come here with visitors in the season.

Perhaps because this temple is close to Kamakura station, the balance of the buildings with the colour is good, there are Japanese gardens and the Yagura characteristic of Kamakura are there, too. 

I feel there are many good places for photography. 

私は、ここのこういうひっそりした庭の部分も好きです。
I like parts of their gardens with a quiet atmosphere like this, too.

カフェ: くるみるく

Cafe: Kurumiruku

境内から直接入っていけるカフェ
お店としては"パン工房"と言っています。
手作りパンが売られていて、珈琲やお茶、軽食がいただけます。
このお寺の近くにカフェがないので、結構私達は利用します。

It possible go to the cafe directly from the temple.
They say they are a "Bread Studio".
They sell home-made bread, serve coffee, tea and light meals.
There is no other cafe close to the temple,
so we sometimes visit here.

門番のわんちゃん
入るときはものすごく吠えてちょっとびびるのですが、
不思議なことに、一度中へ入った人には全然吠えないのです。

Gatekeeper Dog
The dog barks harshly so people, or at least me, become a little scared, 
although once we come into the cafe then go out, 
strangely the dog never barks at us.
