家 / House
ディクスター/ Dixter の記録は1220年から始まり、何人かのオーナーの手に
渡り、1910年にナザニエル•ロイド / Nathaniel Lloyd (1867 - 1933) がこの地を
買います。
グレート•ディクスター / Great Dixterと呼ばれる家は３つあり、ひとつは15世紀半ばにここに建てられ、16世紀初期に2番目の部分が建てられ、1912年に今の姿の家になりました。
お隣のリトル •ディクスター/ Little Dixter と区別するために、グレート•ディクスター / Great Dixterと新しく名付けられました。
屋内は撮影禁止ですが、撮っている人もいたので、そんなに厳しくはないのかもしれません。
私は撮影しなかったので、屋内を撮影したポストカードを何枚か買いました。
また有料のパンフレットには屋内の写真や説明が載っています。
The records of Dixter started in 1220, there were a few owners and Nathaniel Lloyd (1867 - 1933) bought here in 1910.
Great Dixter is three houses, one built here in the mid 15th century, the second built in the early 16th century and the third in 1912 which became the present house.
Dixter was renamed Great Dixter, to distinguish it from Little Dixter next door.
We cannot take photographs in the house, although someone did take photographs, so it might not be so strict.
I did not take any, instead of my photographs we bought some post-cards of the inside and
the pamphlet which has a few photographs of the inside and explanations.
