パンフレットにはこの池についてコメントされていませんので、
あまり重要視されていないのでしょう。
(小さな写真はあります）
けれども、こういった池があるのとないのでは
趣が随分違うでしょう。

The pamphlet does not have any comments about this pond,
so they (or Lloyd Hamilton Christopher ) might not think it important.
(A small photograph of the pond is included.)
However, I think the attractiveness of Great Dixter
 is very different with or without it.

オオバンがいたのですが、撮影できませんでした。

There was a Eurasian Coot, although I could not photograph it.
