Wall Garden

1998年に芝からタイルと小石に舗装されました。
In 1998, the lawn was replaced by paving of tiles and pebbles.

クリストファー•ハミルトン•ロイドの愛犬は
2匹のダックスフンド: 'ダリア/ Dahlia' と 'カンナ / Cana'です。
小石のモザイク柄はそのダックスフンド。
オーナーはこれが作りたいがために
芝から変えたのしょう。

私は庭を散歩している間に2匹のダックスフンドに会いました。
けれども、その２匹が Dahlia と Canaなのか、
２代目なのかわかりません。
人なつこくて、彼らがここのみんなに愛されているのが察しされました。

Lloyd Hamilton Christopher (1921 - 2006)'s dogs
were two dachshunds :  Dahlia and Cana.
The pebbles mosaic was a picture of his dogs.
I am sure he would make the mosaic, so here was changed.
While I walked in the gardens I met two dachshunds,
I do not know if they were Dahlia and Cana or the next generation.
They are friendly so I feel they are loved by every person here.

松の一種でしょうか？
ここにはクリストファー•ハミルトン•ロイドの意志によって
ラベルがありません。
ここは彼のプライベートの庭であって、植物園ではないし
ナショナルトラストの庭でもないこととか、
ラベルは墓地を思わせるから嫌いだとか、他のいくつかの理由があります。

Are they one of the pine family?
Here does not have any plant labels, 
in line with  Lloyd Hamilton Christopher 's opinions.
Here was his private garden, it is not like a Botanic Garden or 
a National Trust Garden,and he hated the look of labels, 
because it reminded him of a cemetery,and for other reasons.
