B & B の'キャメロット ハウス / Camelot House' に
泊まりました。

ここは、食事もお部屋も、
B&Bのカップル: Denise and Steve の人柄も

とても良かったです。

また泊まりに行きたいB&Bです。

We stayed in Camelot House', B&B.

The B&B couple, Denise and Steve 
personalities are so good,

the room is very clean and breakfast is enjoyable! 

I would come here again!

この旅の計画は、今回の英国内旅行の中で、一番最初にたてたものでした。

英国の西サセックス地方(英国南東部)にあるワージング/ Worthing という町に
25日から28日まで滞在の4泊５日の旅でした。

エリナ•ファージョン作(1881 - 1965)
『リンゴ畑のマーティンピピン』(1972, 岩波書店)
『ヒナギク野のピピン』(1974, 岩波書店)
の舞台がサセックスであるので、この領域を旅する計画をたてたのです。

また、ワージングは、ナショナルトラスト / National Trust : National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or National Beauty が管理する
シシンブリー•リング / Cissbury Ring や 
'チャクトンブリー•リング / Chanctonbury Ring'も近いのです。

残念ながら、今回は'チャクトンブリー•リング'には行けなかったのです。

シシンブリー•リング 訪問は、違うセクションに載せます。

This was the fast trip we planes this summer.

We stayed four nights, 25th to 28th of July in Worthing which is a seaside town in West Sussex.

I choose here, because Sussex is the locations of  the books : "Martin Pippin in the Apple Orchard(1921)" and "Martin Pippin in the Daisy Field(1937) by Eleanor Farjeon (1881 -1965).

And also Worthing is close to Cissbury Ring and Chanctonbury Ring' which are looked after by the National Trust : National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or National Beaty.

Unfortunately we did not visit  Chanctonbury Ring' in this trip.

I shall refer to Cissbury Ring in a different section later. 

到着して、素敵な手作りスコーンと紅茶の
セットを用意してくださいました。
キャメロットハウスの庭で頂きました。
通常、甘いものを食べない私がスコーンが美味しくて
２個食べてしまいました。

We arrived there and immediately they gave us
a lovely 'Tea' of home-made scones and tea.

Normally I do not eat sweets,
although these scones were very delicious so I ate two!
We had a pot of tea in their garden.

そしておかわりもしてしまいました！
ほぐした白身の魚とほんのりスパイスのきいたライス。

I enjoyed this quickly and I had another plateful!
This is flakes of white fish and boiled rice with some spices.

A の笑った顔
A は、カナダから聖書考古学を学びに英国へ来ました。
このB＆Bの顧客さんです。
この日は、彼の体調が悪かったのでデニーズが彼を元気づけるために
この朝食を作りました。

ところで、私は聖書考古学なるものが存在するものを
初めて知りました。
聖書の時代と聖書の場所を研究する考古学だそうです。

A came from Canada to study Biblical Archaeology in Britain.
On this day, he was not well so Denise would encourage him
then she made this.

By the way, it was the first time I knew of Biblical Archaeology .
I understand that they research the archaeology during Bible time and area.

シャワーのみでお風呂は付いていませんが、
とても居心地の良い部屋でした。
ベッドの上の帽子は、ナイマンズ / Nymans で買い、
私のお気に入りになりました。

Although the room has only a shower without a bath,
it was very comfortable.
The hat is on the bed which I bought in Nymans 
and it became my favourite.
