カラスとトンビ / Black Kite and Crow

鎌倉の空に、トンビとカラスが飛んでいる光景がよく見られます。

自衛隊機または米機のヘリコプターも飛行機も音によってその存在を知らしめ、印象は強いです。

ですが、空の飛行を見る回数では、トンビ、カラス、ヘリコプター、飛行機の順番ではないかと思います。

鎌倉山では昨年から以前よりもカラスを目にするようになりました。

コロナ禍になり、街中にゴミがあまり出なくなり、カラスは活動範囲を広げたのかしら？と推測しています。

我が家からもトンビとカラスのせめぎ合いを時々見ることがあります。

カラスはグループで単独のトンビを追うことは頻繁です。

ですが、今日は、電線上で、1羽のカラスは1羽のトンビに 'ちょっかい'を出していました。

獲物を取り合っているのでなく、まさしく、おちょくっているのです。

そのカラスにとってはそれは遊びで、彼(彼女)の賢さに私には感じられます。

カラスはトンビに近づいてゆき、
トンビの 'ニラミ' で、追い払われました。
(トンビに僅かな動きがあったのかもしれません）

by the black kite's 'Sharp Look'.
(Maybe there was a slight movement in the black kite)

Over Kamakura, we can often see a scenery of flying Black Kites and Crows flying.

Both the Self-Defense Forces or US helicopters and planes are extremely strong at making themselves known by their sounds and the impressions are strong.

However, in terms of the number of times of what I see flying, I think the order is Black Kite, Crow, Helicopter and Plane.

Since last year, I have been seeing more crows in Kamakurayama than before.

I guess the crows have expanded their range of activities due to the coronavirus crisis and less rubbish available in downtown. 

From my house, I sometimes see the conflict between Black Kites and Crows.

Crows in a group often chase a single Black Kite.

However, today, on the cables, one Crow meddled with one Black Kite.

It's not competing for prey, it just teased.

For that crow it's play and I feel his (her) wisdom

カラスは、一度追い払われたのに、
「気にしていないわ！」
と無視しているかのようです。

Once the crow moved away a little,
but it pretends to be ignoring, 
"I don't care!".

トンビは何もしませんし動きもしませんが
カラスから目を離しません。

The black kite does nothing and does not move,
but keeps an eye on the crow.

この後カラスは飛び去りました。
どうやら、トンビが2羽になったからのようでした (下の写真)。

After this the crow flew away.

Apparently, it was because there were two Black Kites, below.

1羽が飛び立ちました。
羽をひろげると、その動きと大きさに、
「お〜っ！」
と驚きを覚えます。

One bird took off.
When it spread the wings, "Ooooh!" I was surprised
at its movement and size.

飛び立ったと思ったトンビは、少し遠くに場所を
変えて再び止まりました。
もしかしたら、私のカメラが原因かもしれません。

The black kite, which I thought took off,
changed its location a little further and stopped again.
Maybe my camera is the cause.
