1) さくらんぼとリス / Cherry and Squirrel

さくらんぼとリス
今年のさくらんぼ (桜桃) の実は、青いうちに、
リスや鳥に食べられてしまいました。
毎年食べられてしまうのは同じなのですが、
今年は実があまり色づかないうちになくなってしまいます。
リスの数が徐々に増えていることは感じています。
彼らの競争は激しくなっているのかもしれないと推測します。

Cherry and Squirrel

This year's cherries were eaten by squirrels and birds 

while they were green.

It is the same way that they are eaten every year, 

but this year, they have disappeared

 before the fruit is coloured enough.

I feel that the number of squirrels is gradually increasing.

I speculate that their competition may be fierce.

2) ドラゴン神棚 / Dragon Home Shrine

'ドラゴン神棚'

今年、私はスタジオに 'ドラゴン・コーナー' を作っています。
当初、スタジオの神棚のように感じていましたが、

今でははっきりと'ドラゴン神棚'と呼んでいます。

庭から花を摘めるようになってからは、ここに花を飾っています。

 'Dragon Kamidana' : 'Dragon Home Shrine'

This year I'm making 'Dragon Corner' in the studio.

At first, it felt like a studio 'Kamidana' : Home Shrine in Japanese, 

but now it's clearly called 

'Dragon Kamidana' : Dragon Home Shrine.

Since I started picking flowers from the garden, 

I am decorating here with flowers.

2点のお皿は、英国留学 (陶芸) 前に、
日本で作った私の初めての陶芸作品です。

The two plates are my first ceramic works I made in Japan 

before studying Ceramics in Britain.
