ピンポイントギャラリー、30周年、おめでとうございます！
私が初めての個展を開いたのは、ピンポイントギャラリーでした。
友人、堀内くんの紹介でした。
その後、8回に渡り(★)、個展をピンポイントギャラリーで開きました。
個展を開く前には、様々なアドバイスをしていただいたり、展示の構成もほとんどしていただきました。
2002年10月第3回個展「Coonie's
Dragon
Part1 」は、那須の板室温泉大黒屋ホテルにて行いましたが、そのときでさえも、ピンポイントギャラリーのオーナーの
西須さんに、展示と構成をしていただきました。

英国留学前には、留学に関する資料をいただき、PCに弱い私への個人的指導もしていただき、一時帰国の際にも励ましていただきました。
英国留学し本帰国後は、私はイラストレイターではなくなり、作品の傾向も違ってしまったので、ピンポイントギャラリーで個展をすることはなくなりました。
にもかかわらず、鎌倉でも東京でも私が個展を開催する際には、必ず足を運んでくださっています。
現在、ピンポイントギャラリーはお嬢様のSちゃんも共に働いていらっしゃり、
Sちゃんも鎌倉のときも東京のときも私の個展会場にいらして頂いています。

作品傾向が違うようになり、作品に合うギャラリーを探し始めた時に、ピンポントギャラリーのように、アーティストを精神面でも具体的な面からでも支えてくれるところは、とても少ないのだと知りました。
それまでは、どこのギャラリーでもそうであろうと思っていた自分が無知でした。
私の学生時代の友人たちも毎回足を運んでくれて、それを見た
西須さんが

「coonieの友人はみな、優しいね。通常、初めての個展は来てくれるけれど、その後は毎回は来てくれないものよ」
と教えてくださいました。
皆さんそうであろうと思っていた私は
「えっ！？」
と驚き、自分の愚かな思い込みを知り、友人たちに対して一層感謝しました。
私が手術をした際にも、自宅へお見舞いに来て頂いたり、ギャラリーを訪ねられるようになると、必要な道具をプレゼントして頂いたりしました。
公私に渡り、西須さんには、本当に長い間、お世話になりました。
ありがとうございました。そして、これからもよろしくお願いいたします。
私のように、きっと多くのイラストレイターやアーティストが西須さんに助けられ、世話になってきたことでしょう。
ピンポイントギャラリーのますますの発展を祈っております。
西須さん、お体大切にお過ごしください。

Pinpoint
Gallery, 30th Anniversary, Congratulations!
It
was in Pinpoint Gallery that I had my first exhibition.
Pinpoint
Gallery was introduced to me by my friend, Horiuchi kun.
For
Horiuchi kun is below.
After
that, I have held eight of my exhibitions (★) in Pinpoint Gallery.
Before
exhibitions, I got a lot of advice from the Gallery and when I had
every exhibition, they mostly set up my exhibitions.
In
October 2002, my 3rd exhibition : "Coonie's Dragon Part 1"
was held at “Itamuro-Onse- Daikoku-ya Hotel” in Nasu, even then Saisu
san, the owner of Pinpoint Gallery, set up and displayed for my
exhibition.
Before
studying in the UK, I received data on study abroad from her, she
gave me personal tutoring for PC about which I am weak, and when I
temporarily came back to Japan, she encouraged me.
After
studying in the UK and returning to Japan, I am no longer an illustrator
and the tendency of my work was different from before, so it no longer suits my exhibitions to be held in Pinpoint Gallery.
Nonetheless,
whenever I hold my exhibitions in Kamakura or Tokyo, she definitely visits.
Currently,
Pinpoint Gallery is also working with her daughter, S chan who also
visited my exhibitions in Kamakura and Tokyo.
When
I started looking for a gallery that suits my work, I found out that
there are very few places that support artists in the mental and
concrete aspects like Pinpoint Gallery.
Until
then I had thought that it would be so in any gallery, I was ignorant.
My
university friends also visited my exhibitions every time and Saisu
san saw it and told me,
"All coonie's friends are sweet‐tempered.
Normally, friends come to a first exhibition, though after that they will not come every
time."
I
thought that everyone else would be like me
"eh!?"
and I was surprised, I realized my foolish thoughts and appreciated and thanked my friends more.
Even
when I had operations, she came to visit my home and when I visited the Gallery she gave me a useful tool.
Both
officially and privately, I have been indebted to her for a long
time.
Thank
you very much for everything you have done.
And
thanks for your continued support.
I'm sure that, like me, many illustrators and artists have been helped by
her.
I
pray for the further development of Pinpoint Gallery.
