我が家から夜明けや朝焼けが美しく見え、いつも感動します。

実生の栗

どこからかやってきた栗の種が勝手に我が家の庭で大きくなりました。

この木の存在は昨年実をつけたことで知りましたが、昨年の実はほんのわずかでしかも食べるには小さすぎ、固すぎました。

ですが、今年は昨年よりはおおきな実を複数の実をつけ、茹でて食べることができました。

我が家の栗の木という思い入れがあるためかもしれませんが、とっても美味しく感じました。

お隣にもお福分けしました。

Rは毎朝、新しい栗が落ちていないか見ていたので、珍しく早起きがしばらく続きました(笑)。

Seedling Chestnut

We do not know where the chestnut seedling in our garden came from and grows happily.

Last year we realized this was a chestnut from its fruit, although they were very few and too small, too hard for eating.

However, this year the tree had bigger and more chestnuts than last year and we could eat them after boiling.

Maybe because there is a feeling of it being our chestnut tree, I felt they were very delicious.

We gave some to our neighbour.

R looked for newly fallen chestnuts every morning, so unusually he carried on waking up early for a while (Laugh).

大雨のあと、七里ヶ浜の海は荒れていました。
After the heavy rain, the sea off Shichirigahama was rough.

我が家の柿 
柿も今年は良いできでした。
昨年は私たちが食べる前に鳥やリスに食べられてしまうか、
地面でだめになってしまいました。
ちなみにRが柿を切ってお皿に盛り付けてくれました。
柿もお隣にもお福分けしました。

 Persimmon from Our Garden

Persimmon also was good this year.

Last year, birds and squirrels ate them before us,

or the persimmons were damaged on the ground.
Incidentally, R cut the persimmon and served on the plate.
We also gave some of our persimmon to our neighbour.
