❶2月18日 東京 - ジャズ・ライヴ / Jazz Live in Tokyo, 18th of February, 2017

2月18日の晩に、友人 A ちゃんが、ジャズ・ライヴを東京でするというので、出かけることにしました。

私はジャズやジャズ・ライヴについて詳しく知りません。

英国留学前に、何度か、銀座の 'スウィング/ Swing' というお店に、行ったくらいでした。

別の機会に知った曲で、感動したのが、キース・ジャレット (1945 -  / Keith Jarrett) の "ザ・ケルン・コンサート/ The Köln Concert "
のアルバムで、このアルバムは持っています。

聞くと、感性が研ぎ澄まされて、自分自身も浄化されてゆく気がします。




A ちゃんは美大出なのですが、音楽一家出身でもあり、現在、彼女は音楽畑にいるのですね。

彼女がサクソフォンを始めて、10年以上たちます。

今回、ヘッド?またはリード？(という言葉があっているのかわかりません)をするということでした。(

Rはジャズがあまり好きではないので、どうかな？と思いましたが、「行く！」というので、一緒に出かけました。

そんな彼も、この日の音楽は好きだったようで、楽しんでいました。(私も)

彼女のバンド仲間の一人も、最近の彼女は目覚ましい上達があると言っていました。

実は私は彼女がサックスを始めたばかりの音を知っていました。

それが悪いとは記憶していませんでしたが、この日の彼女の演奏は、全く違っていました。

A ちゃんのジャズに対する意気込みと努力を知り、素晴らしいな〜と思いました。

選曲が、軽やかで、明るくて、広がりがって、なんとなく、
ヴィヴァルディ(1678 -1741) の「四季・春 : ★(曲)」の始めの部分 (第1楽章 Allegro) に通じるものが私にはありました。

ジャズにもいろいろな曲が、傾向があるのだな〜と実感させてもらえました。

会場で、友人Cにも久々に会えて、嬉しかったし、ライヴはとても楽しかったです。

I heard my friend, A  Chan would have a jazz live in Tokyo on 18^th of February, 2017, I decided I would go.

I do not know very much about Jazz.

Before studying abroad in Britain, I had just been several times a 'Jazz Club, Swing' in Ginza, Tokyo.

Separately, 'Jazz music' gives me the impression of an album, 
"The Köln Concert (1975)" by Keith Jarrett (1945 -), 
and I have the album.

If I listen to the album, I would feel my senses sharpen and I become purified.

A Chan graduated from an art university in Japan as well as she came from a music family, and nowadays she is in the music world, isn't she?

She has played a saxophone for over ten years and I heard she would be the lead musician (I do not know if this wording is correct).

R basically doesn't go for Jazz music, so I wondered if he would go, although he said he would!

I know he enjoyed the music that night, me too.

One of her band members said about her that recently she has made remarkable progress.

Actually, I heard her playing earlier on which I did not remember as being bad, however, her playing on the night was very different.

I understood her enthusiasm and effort for Jazz and I felt that was wonderful.

Their (or her) musical selection was light, bright and free, somehow I felt it leading to the  beginning of 'Spring of The Seasons' ; 'Spring, movement 1: Allegro' by Vivaldi (1678 - 1741) .

The music selection showed me, indeed, Jazz music has many types.

I was pleased I met my friend, C there, who I hadn't seen her for a long time and we really enjoyed the performance.

It was a beautiful time, thank you very much.
