8月22日、私が留学中に住んでいた、チルトン・ロード / Chilton Road の家を訪ねた時のことです。

私達は、22日に、カーディフ / Cardiff のセント・ファガンズ歴史ミュージアム / St Fagans National Museum of History ：★で、友人のSに会い、バース / Bath へ戻ってきました。

英国の夏は、午後9時頃は、まだ明るいです。
Back in Time
I wrote about Bath sightseeing on 23rd of August in my previous sections, but this section is on 22nd of August, when we visited a house at Chilton Road, where I lived while studying abroad .

On the 22nd, we met our friend S at St Fagans National Museum of History ：★ in Cardiff, and returned to Bath.

The British summer is still bright around 9 pm.
When we came back to Bath it was bright and we visited the Chilton Road House before returning to our Bath accommodation "Contemporary Newly Built Cottage".

バース・スパ大学への行き来にここを使用しました。 チルトンという響(ヒビ)きが可愛らしくて好きです。

Chilton Road I used to walk here to get to and from Bath Spa University.
I like the sound of Chilton, which is so lovely.

2) 50段を登って / Climb 50 Steps
丘の上
毎日50段の階段を上り下りしました。
上り下りはここだけでなく、大学への通学路もそうでした。 バースの中心地にいると、バースがコッツオルズに 含まれていることに違和感を持ちます。 けれど、やっぱり、コッツオルズの丘がある街なんですね。
Top of the Hill
I went up and down these 50 steps every day.
Walking 'up and down' was not only here,
but also on the way between the house and the University.
When in the centre of Bath it feels strange that Bath is included in the Cotswolds.
But after all, it's a town with Cotswolds hills.

現在、家は改装中。
大家さんのTは、庭を自然に任せているようです(笑)。
このピクニック・テーブルでドローイングをしました。
The house is currently under renovation. The garden of my ex-landlord, T, seems to be left to nature (Laugh)

卒業後
私が大学で陶芸を学んでいるときは、
庭の世話をする時間が作れませんでした。
大学卒業後に、ようやく私は庭に時間が割けるようになりました。
After Graduating
While I was a student in the University and
I studied ceramics, I could not make time for the garden.
After graduating from the university, I finally got time for the garden.

| バースの街を霧が覆い、家からは、バースの街にドラゴンが 横たわっているように見えました。 The fog covered the city of Bath, and from the house it looked like a dragon lying on the city of Bath. 
美しい眺めと、優しいTがいつも私を励ましてくれました。
ここに住めて、私はとても幸せでした。
The beautiful views and kind T, both always encouraged me.
I was very happy to live here.

4) 2019年夏 / Summer in 2019

複雑な気持ちを抱きつつ、景色を見て、ここを後にする決心をしました。
Tには23日にJ宅で会うことができました。 Jの家の訪問は次のセクションに載せます。 With a complex feeling, I saw the scenery and decided to leave here. We were able to meet T at J's house on the 23rd. Visits to J's house are in the next section.  Jの家は右です。 / J's house is on the right. |
