2019年5月2日〜2019年9月8日を開催していました。
ローレン・チャイルド は、英国の絵本作家で、イラストレーターで、多くの受賞歴があります。

夏休みだったので、子供のための展覧会として企画されたのだと思います。
子供テイストの私に、ぴったり！
私は彼女の絵柄が好きです。

ホルバーン美術館
Holburne Museum
It is home to fine and decorative arts built around the collection of
Sir William Holburne (1793-1874).
The museum reopened in 2011 after restoration
and an extension designed by Eric Parry Architects (1952 ~ ).

On that day, I (we) went to the Holburne Museum for the first time.

2nd of May, 2019 - 8th of September, 2019 was being held.
Lauren Child is a British picture book author and illustrator and has many awards.

It was a summer holiday, so I think they had the Exhibition for children.
Perfect for me as a child!
I like her style of picture.

前庭のベンチに彼女の絵の人形が展示されていました。 これを見すごさなかったことが嬉しいです。 Welcome? Her picture figures were on display on the bench in the front yard. I'm glad I didn't miss them. |

入場料 、£12.50 を払うと特別展も常設展も見ることができます。
チケットでなく、シールをもらい、自分のどこかへ貼ります。
最近、この形式の美術館や博物館が多いな〜と感じます。
チケットとシールの両方の場合もありますね。

Instead of a ticket, get a sticker and stick it somewhere on yourself.

ドール・ハウス
入り口横に、ドール・ハウスが展示されていました。
ジオラマやドール・ハウスが好きなので、会場へ入る前に嬉しくなります。
このドール・ハウスは、 ローレン・チャイルドが18才の時に
ドール・ハウスのキットを両親からもらい、彼女が作ったものです。
Dolls' House
A dolls' house was on display outside the venue.
I like diorama and dolls' houses, so I was happy before I entered the venue.
This dolls' house was made by Lauren Child when she was 18 years old, when she received a dolls' house kit from her parents.

このドール・ハウスでは子供部屋に使用されています。
Loft
Lofts and attics have somehow a "Secret Garden" charm.
In this dollhouse, they are used for children's rooms.
空想家
チャイルドは自分のことを 'daydreamer '(空想家)と呼びます。
この人形の少女は若き日のローレン・チャイルドかもしれません。
Dreamer
Child calls herself a 'daydreamer'.
This doll girl may be the young Lauren Child.
電気
各部屋の照明が凝っていて、その上、ちゃんと電気がつくのです。
電気がつくドール・ハウス...もしかしたら、私は初めて見たかもしれません。
彼女が作った時にどれくらい彼女が電気について知っていたかはわかりませんが、 彼女は電気について学んだことがあります。 また、彼女は自分の会社である"Chandeliers for the People"を立ち上げ、 ランプシェードを作りました。 
Electricity
The lighting in each room is elaborate, moreover, the lighting is real.
A doll's house with electricity ... Maybe I've never seen it before.
I don't know how much she knew about electricity before she made this,
but she has learned about electricity.
She started her own company, "Chandeliers for the People", making lampshades.

Lauren Child seems to have a fondness for the wallpaper. But not only the wallpaper, but also the furniture and electricity, I can feel the extraordinary love.  |

ローレン・チャイルドが子供の頃、
ヴィクトリア・アンド・アルバート子供博物館()によく行き
このドールハウス"Tate Bay House," (1760年頃) に憧れました。
このドール・ハウスは、彼女に多大な影響を与えました。
私はV&Aに子供博物館があるのことを知りませんでした。
ぜひ行ってみたいです。

私は、"ローレン・チャイルド展"と思い、会場へ入りました。
そこは、1つの小さな部屋のみでした。
その部屋は、私にとっては非常によかったですが、多少、肩透かしを食ったような気持ちにはなりました。
ですが、ここを訪ね、彼女の作品を見られたことは、とても嬉しいことでした。
また、この会場だけでなく、美術館全体に、彼女の作品の '分身'が散りばめられ、それらを探すことは、宝物探しのようなワクワク感がありました。
この手法は、多くの子供のためのイベントで使用されているのは承知しつつ、私はそれを心から楽しみました。
'宝物探し'は、次のセクションに載せます。

"It features works from her original stories as well as
her recent re-imaginings of fairy tales and classic bedtime stories such as

Small World
I thought "Lauren Child Exhibition" was there and entered the venue.
There was only one small room.
The room was very good to me, but I felt a little bit like being tricked.
But for me, it was great to visit here and see her works.
In addition, not only at this venue, but also the 'doppelganger' of her work were dotted around the entire museum, and searching for them was as exciting as finding a treasure.
I know this idea is used in many kids events, but I really enjoyed it.
'Treasure Hunt' will be in the next section.

B. コラージュ / Collage
彼女の作品を直接見たのは初めてでした。
This was the first time I saw her work directly.

チャイルドは、組み合わせの意外さを楽しみ、人々はそれを新しい発見に感じるように思います。
"チャイルドの文学の世界は、好奇心旺盛な子供たち、紙のドレスを着たお姫様、眼帯をしたオオカミを組み合わせる楽しい折衷主義とバロック様式とジョージアン様式の美学に特徴付けられます。" (博物館の説明より) In my view, Child enjoys the surprisingness of combination, and people can feel it a new discovery. "Child's literary world is one characterised by joyful eclecticism, combining curious children, princesse in paper dresses, wolves wearing eye-patches, and Baroque and Georgian aesthetics."

などの19世紀後半から20世紀の画家達から影響を受けました。
ローレン・チャイルドの隣の部屋では、エドゥアール・ヴュイヤール展が行われていました。
彼女の部屋の後で、私(達)は、エドゥアール・ヴュイヤール展の部屋へ行きました。

Child was introduced to painters from the late 19th century to the 20th century ;
Édouard Vuillard (1868 - 1940),
Pierre Bonnard (1867 - 1947),
Henri Matisse (1869 - 1954),
Georges Braque (1882 -1963)
by her father, an art teacher, and was influenced by the painters.
The room next to Lauren Child's room had the Édouard Vuillard exhibition.
After her room I (we) went to the Édouard Vuillard's room.
I will post about the Édouard Vuillard exhibition later.
