エゴン・シーレ (1890 - 1918)は、オーストリアの画家ですが、彼の母親はチェスキー・クルムロフ出身です。
エゴン・シーレの短い生涯 (28歳で死亡) の中で、彼が21歳 (1911年) の頃に、恋人のヴァリ・ノイツェル（本名 Walburga Neuzil、1894-1917）とチェスキー・クロムロフに住みました。
ノイツェルは彼のお師匠さんであるグスタフ・クリムト (1862 - 1918) のモデルであり、愛人の一人であったとも言われています。
彼らはウィーンから逃げるようにチェスキー・クルムロフにやってきたのです。
シーレは裸婦像を描き、そのためのモデルが娼婦であり、彼の家に彼女らが出入りし、住人にはそれが好ましく思えませんでした。
チェスキー・クルムロフの住人に彼らは追い出されるようにここを離れ、ウィーンに戻りました。
現在ここに彼の記念館が観光の呼び物のひとつになていることは、シーレは、どう思うのでしょう？
シーレは、自己顕示欲が強そうなので、嬉しいのかもしれませんね。

His life was short, he died at 28 years old.
When he was 21 years old, he lived in Český Krumlov with his girlfriend, Walburga (Wally) Neuzil (1894-1917).
エゴン・シーレの絵に随分長い間、お目にかかっていませんでした。
彼の絵は魅力的ですが、私には長い間愛せるものでありませんでした。
けれども、今回、彼のチェスキー・クルムロフを描いた絵を見て、好きだな〜と思いました。
また、以前は感じたことがありませんでしたが、彼のいくつかの絵に、お師匠さんであるクリムトの影響を受けていることを感じました。
このセンターには私が期待したほどのシーレの作品はありませんでした。
オーストラリアのウィーンにあるレオポルド国立美術館に彼の作品群が、ここよりもより多く収蔵されています。
レオポルド国立美術館にはクリムトの絵も所蔵されています。
この美術館の公式サイトには日本語 (★) もあり、ウィーンを訪れる日本人がいかに多いかを感じさせます。
私も9月にレオポルド国立美術館を訪れたので、そのことはのちのセクションに載せます。

Egon Schiele (1890 - 1918) was an Austrian painter, although his mother came from Český Krumlov.
His life was short, he died at 28 years old.
When he was 21 years old, he lived in Český Krumlov with his girlfriend, Walburga (Wally) Neuzil (1894-1917).
Neuzil was an early model of Gustav Klimt (1862 - 1918) and might have been one of his mistresses, and Klimt was Schiele's master.
So they seemed to escape from Vienna to Český Krumlov.
Schiele painted nude women who were prostitutes who went in and out of his house, so that Český Krumlov residents were not welcoming.
Today, Schiele Art Centre is here as one of the sightseeing attractions in Český Krumlov,
I wonder what Schiele would feel...

I hadn't looked at Egon Schiele's pictures for a long time.
His works are attractive, although I could not love them for a long time.
However, there are some of his pictures of houses in Český Krumlov in Schiele Art Centre , I feel I like them.
And also I did not realise before visiting the Centre that I think some of Schiele's pictures were influenced by Klimt.
I expected to see more of Schiele's pictures in the Centre.
The Leopold Museum in Vienna, Austria has many more of his works than here.
The Leopold Museum has Klimt's works, too.
The Museum's official site has Japanese so that I can feel how many Japanese visit Vienna.
