モルダウ川 は、チェコ国内最長の川です。
ボヘミア盆地を通って、北ドイツ平原に流れ出てエルベ川に合流し、さらに、
ドレスデン、マグデブルク、ハンブルクなどの都市を潤して北海に抜けます。
また、南に遡って、ボヘミヤの森をこえるとドナウ川に至り、黒海に注ぎます。

Valtva and Danube
Vltava is the longest river in Czech.
It flows through the Bohemia basin and Prague, out into the Northern Germany plain : Norddeutsches Tiefland, joins the Elbe going through Dresden, Magdeburg, and Hamburg before reaching the North Sea.
In addition, some flows to the south through the forest of Bohemia, into the Danube then out into the Black Sea.

私にとってドナウ川といえば、
『ドナウ川 (ダニューヴ) のさざなみ』[ヨシフ・イヴァノヴィチ(1845-1902) 作曲]、
『美しき青きドナウ』[ヨハン・シュトラウス2世 (1825 - 1899) 作曲]よりもこちらです。
ピアノの先生との思い出の曲です。
一般的には、『美しき青きドナウ』の方が有名なのかもしれませんね。
こちらも美しい曲ですよね。
『2001年宇宙の旅』[1968/ 監督: スタンリー・キュービック(1928 - 1999)]
にも印象的に使用されています：★

For me, speaking of 'Danube' is "Waves of the Danube"
by Ion Ivanovici (1845 - 1902) rather than
"The Blue Danube" by Johann Strauss II (1825 - 1899) .
In general "The Blue Danube" might be more popular, mightn't it?
This is beautiful music too isn't it?
