⓫北陸旅行- 1) 巌門 / Hokuriku Trip - 1) Ganmon, 22nd of January, 2015

さて、これはなんでしょうか？
バスの後ろの窓から撮影した"トトロ岩"です。
雨のせいで、なんともおどろおどろしく写ってしまいました！
晴れの日のトトロ岩は、こちら→★ (ぜひ見て！)

もともと、地元では"権現岩" (ゴンゲンイワ) と呼ばれていたようですが、
どなたかが目をつけて、今では "トトロ岩" になったようです。
仏様の仮の姿の権現様が今ではトトロになったというわけですが、
まあ、トトロも精霊ですから、近い存在なのかも？

Well, guess what this is?
This is "Totoro Rock", I photographed it from the back of the coach.
The rain has made it eerie!
Here is "Totoro Rock" on a lovely day→★(You must look at!)
Originally it was called "Gongen Rock" by the locals,
although somebody put the eyes on the rock which made it become "Totoro Rock".
The temporary appearance of Buddha : Gongen became "Totoro Rock" today.
Well I think Totoro is one of the spirits, so they might be close?

能登金剛の巌門
Ganmon of Noto Kongou　

能登金剛: ★ の 巌門(ガンモン)

能登金剛(ノトコンゴウ)は、能登半島国定公園の代表的な景勝地です。

能登金剛と呼ばれるのは、北朝鮮: 朝鮮民主主義人民共和国にある

金剛山の景色に匹敵すると考えられたことからだそうです。
と言われても、私にはそれ、どこ？→★
...ということで、この枠の最後に金剛山の写真を載せています。
能登金剛と呼ばれる地域は、ここ巌門だけでなく、
能登半島の海岸線: "福浦から関野鼻に至る富来海岸までの29キロ"
を指すようです。

Ganmon of Noto Kongou　

Here is one of the typical picturesque views of 
Noto peninsula Quasi-National Parks.

This area is called Noto Kongou, because they claim it is comparable to 
Mount Kumgang in North Korea: DemocraticPeople's Republic of Korea, 
long known for its beauty.

Noto Kongou is not only here: "Ganmon" 

but the coast of the peninsula; 29 km : from 'Fukuura' to 'Sakinohana'.

Although I read about this, I still wonder where it is?→★
I show a photograph of the mountain, last one in this frame.

海の色 / Sea Colour

今まで灰色の海の色であった日本海がここではエメラルド色になっていました。

In the trip so far the Sea of Japan was gray in colour, 
although here was emerald colour.

厳門洞窟(ガンモンドウクツ)

ここには厳門洞窟と呼ばれる二つの洞窟があります。
左手の尖った岩は"鷹ノ巣岩"。

"Ganmon-Dokustu / Ganmon Caves".

Here are two caves which are called "Ganmon-Dokustu / Ganmon Caves".
The tall rock on the left  is "Hawks Nest Rock".

こちらの洞窟は先が見えますが、下の大洞窟は...
We could see through this cave, however, that big cave below is ...

先が見えない奥へすすみます。
義経(1159-1189)一行がここに隠れたと言われているそうですが...?
能登半島または北陸には、複数の義経伝説はあります→★
まあ、義経伝説は日本全国津々浦々？あるように感じます。

We went ahead even though we could not see the way out.
They say a Japanese historical hero: Yoshitune (1159-1189):★ hid here...?
Hokuriku or Noto peninsula has a few legends about Yoshitsune :★.
I feel his legends are set in many places in Japan.

光が見えると安心します。

When I see the light, I am relieved.

海岸へ降りて行く途中に小さな滝があります。
There is a small waterfall we passed as we went down to the beach.

能登滝之浦
『六十予州名所図会』: ★ 所収

千畳敷岩
洞窟から出ると見える景色。
雨が降っていて、足元が滑りやすいので眺めるだけにしました。
実は滑りやすい原因がここの名物の岩のりであるとあとで知りました。

 Senjoushiki-iwa: One thousand carpets Rock
After climbing through the cave, we saw this views.
It was raining, our way was slippery and we just looked across.
Later I knew that the slipperiness is a local "Rock Seaweed: Iwanori".

右上の橋は"幸せのがんもん橋"

On the top right is "Happiness Ganmon Bridge"

"幸せのがんもん橋"

降りてきた時と違うルートで登ってゆくと、橋があり、"幸せのがんもん橋"と

名付けられていました。

'がんもん'は、厳門からでしょうけれど、'幸せの' はなぜ？

吊り橋風のこの橋は、私には怖すぎて渡ることができませんでした。
もちろん、橋からの写真も撮れません。

Rは意気揚々と渡って行きました。

"Shiawase-no-Ganmon Bashi / Happy Ganmon Bridge"

We climbed up a different way and saw the bridge.

I understand Ganmon which came from 'Ganmon Caves', 

but I do not why 'Happy'.

This is like a suspension bridge, for me, it is too scary,

so I could not cross.
Of course, I cannot photograph from the bridge.

R could cross cheerfully.
