1) 出発 / Departure
A. 上高地へ / To Kamikochi
Rと２人で、初めてのバスツアーに参加しました。
観光バスで旅行するのは、2005年にしたバーススパ大学でスートク •オン •トレント/ Stoke-on-Trentの工場見学以来でした。
目的は白川郷でしたが、上高地散策も含まれ、飛騨の温泉旅館に泊まるツアーを選びました。
良い添乗員さんにも恵まれ、参加者も一人を除き、ほぼ通常の方々で安心しました。
必ず、一人か２人は、変な方が参加するけれど、そういう方々も旅のあとは、楽しい思い出話のひとつになると聞いていました。
そしてその通りでした。
上高地 :
上高地（かみこうち）とは、長野県西部の飛騨山脈南部の梓川上流の景勝地である。
中部山岳国立公園の一部ともなっており、国の文化財（特別名勝・特別天然記念物）に指定されている。
標高約1,500m。全域が松本市。(Wikipediaより）
To Kamikochi
It was the first time I took a coach trip with R.
My last coach trip was looking at ceramics factories in Stoke-on-Trent in 2005..
Our purpose was visiting Shirakawago, although we selected a trip : "One night Stay in Spring Hotel in Hida and Visiting Kamikochi and Shirakawago".
We were lucky that our guide was very good and other tourists were too, except one.
I heard that a coach trip always has one or two difficult people, however, their presence would be one of funny or enjoyable? memories after the trip, and it became true.

Kamikōchi is located in the Hida Mountains, the northern part of the Japan Alps. Kamikōchi is bordered on its northern end by Mount Hotaka, and on its southern end by Mount Yake, an active volcano. B. 早朝 / Early Morning
我が家から始発のバスで出かけたのでは、横浜駅の出発時間には間に合わないので、タクシーを予約しました。
あらためて、辺鄙なところへ来たのだな〜と、実感！
とにかく、無事にバスには乗れて、出発することができました。
横浜を出て、町田で途中停車をし、参加者が増え、バスはほぼ満席になりました。
Early Morning
Even if we use the earliest bus from our bus stop, it would be too late for the departure time from Yokohama Coach Station.
So we booked a taxi for the early morning and again I felt our house is in an out-of-the-way place.
Anyway we got there in plenty of time and departed.
After Yokohama, we stopped at Machida to collect other tourists and then the bus was almost full.
2) 上高地に到着 / Arrival in Kamikochi

まだ日陰には雪が残り、ここが夏には避暑地になるのを納得しました。
We arrived in Kamikochi.
There was still some snow in the shadows, so I understand here is mainly a summer resort.

3)散策/ Walking
散策は自由行動ですが、時間にかぎりがあるので、選択肢はひとつか、ふたつです。
大正池からストートする最も一般的なコースを選びました。

Although we had 'Walking in our own time', it had a time limit, so we had only one or two choices.
We choose the most popular course which starts at Taisho Pond.

| 猿(ニホンザル)の親子を発見！ 国立公園なので、野生動物に餌をやることは 禁じられています。 なので、猿は人のそばには寄って来ませんが、逃げもしません。 写真には親子だけですが、群れがいました。 同じバスで一緒の方々は添乗員の方の他には、 この猿の存在に気がつきませんでした。 ゆっくりのんびり歩くと、出来ないことも多々ありますが 人とは違う何かが見えるのですね。 てきぱきできない自分にも良いところがあるのだと知り、 ちょっと安心しました。 ところで、英国国立公園で猿は見かけなかったと気がつきました。 英国の自然界には生息してないのですね。 We found a monkey mother and child! (: Japanese Macaque) Here is part of a National Park. One of the bans is that we do not feed wild animals. So monkeys do not come to people as well as do not run a way. My photographs have only the mother and the child, although there was a group. Our tourists in the same bus did not see the monkeys, only the guide. If people walk slowly, these people could not do many things, however, sometimes they could see something different from other people. Even though I cannot do things quickly, I can be relieved and have some good points. By the way, I realized that I did not see any monkeys in National Parks in Britain. Summits of Nishihotakadake, Okuhotakadake and Myojindake, towering mountains over 3000 meters above sea level can be overlooked from the bridge.
Look toward the downstream, Yakedake with slight smoke coming out from its volcanic activity. Kappa Bridge is one of the most popular scenic area with deep forests of Keshou Yanagi (a kind of willow, Chosenia arbutifolia) and Japanese larch trees. “Kappa” is an imaginary creature originated in Japan. It is said that long ago there was an abyss around this area where Kappa lived. Perhaps another story says that travelers once waded through the river by putting clothing on their head, and they resembled Kappa.
However, the true origin of the name of this bridge “Kappa” is still unknown.

4) ホテル / Our Hotel
ホテルアソシア高山リゾートに宿泊しました。
このホテルは露天風呂からの景色が素晴らしかったです。
残念ながら、Rは温泉は温度が高すぎてはいれません。
けれども、足湯がある階から、露天風呂からの景色には及びませんが、
彼は良い景色も足湯も楽しめました。
私は10年くらい温泉に入っていませんでしたら、ホテルに温泉があることが一層嬉しかったし、疲れが取れました〜！

This hotel's feature is views from their outdoor hot-springs.
Unfortunately the temperature is too hot for R so he cannot use them.

However, he enjoyed foot spring bath and the good view from the floor which does not have the best views.
I hadn't had a hot-spring bath for over ten years, so I was very pleased that the hotel has them and my tiredness went by them.
