1) 尾根道入り口付近
Around Ridge Path Entrance

小川 メインの入り口、御所谷入り口へ降りてゆきました。 その後、ほぼ平地に感じられる道を小川に沿って歩きました。 ここは谷間です。 もしかしてこの谷を '御所谷' と呼ぶのでしょうか？
Stream from the Kamakurayama Entrance and went down to Goshodani Entrance, the main entrance. After that, we walked along a stream on a path that felt almost flat. This is a valley. Maybe this valley is called 'Goshodani Valley'? |

尾根道入り口 (地図④)
鎌倉入り口 (⑳) へは、尾根道を登ります。
尾根道入り口近くに、'カエル池' (⑥) があるはずなのですが、
水が溜まっていず、正確な場所は確認できませんでした。
推測される周辺の写真撮影はしました。
Ridge Path Entrance (Map ④) Climb the ridge path to the Kamakurayama Entrance (⑳) . There should be the 'Frog Pond' ( ⑥) near the Ridge Path Entrance, but the exact location could not be confirmed due to the lack of water. I took photographs of the presumed surroundings.  |

東を見る
この谷は、我が家の裏に続いていることに気がつきました。
Look East
I realized that this valley continues up to behind our house. |

岩肌が露出し、木の根が見えます。
この角を曲がると尾根道入り口でした。
The rock surface is exposed and the roots of the tree can be seen. When we turned this corner, it was the entrance to the Ridge Path. |

カエル池らしい場所周辺は木々が倒れていました。
Trees had fallen around the place that seems to be the Frog Pond. |

木が倒れたのか、地滑りをしたのか？
Did the tree fall or was there a landslide?
根が透けて見えます。
We can see through the roots. |
2019年9月の台風で木々が倒れたことを、パンフレットによって、後になって知りました。
Later I found out from the pamphlet that the trees had fallen due to the typhoon in September 2019.

ここから登りました。

整備された階段を期待しましたが違いました。
予想を超える急斜面に恐れをなす私。
I expected well-maintained steps, but it wasn't.
I was afraid of the steepness of the slanting slope
which was more than I had guessed. |

Rが登る...仕方ない....行きます！
彼の背中が呼んでます!
R climbs ... I can't help it.... go!
His back says come on!

カエル池を見つけられなかったので、
『この辺のどこかに..。』
と思いつつ未練がましく、登っている途中で写真を撮りました。
I couldn't find the frog pond, so while I thought regretfully,
"Somewhere around here ... "
I took photographs on the climb.

ここはきっと台風後は通行止めだったのでしょう。
Here must have been closed after the typhoon. |

鎌倉時代 (1185 / 1192 - 1333) の人々、武士は、
ここを手すりなしで登ったのですよね？
Samurai, the people of the Kamakura Period (1185 / 1192 - 1333),
climbed here without railings, right?

Rも同じように感じていました。
R felt the same way. 人だけではなく、何かの通り道のように感じます。 I feel this is like a path for something, not just people. |
熊野古道を歩きたくて2019年11月に熊野・南紀旅行をしました

I wanted to walk the Kumano Kodō, so we had a Kumano and Nanki Trip in November 2019, below.

"ル・ミリュウ鎌倉山"
木々の間から、パティスリー・カフェの
"ル・ミリュウ鎌倉山"が見えました。
私が鎌倉で一番好きなケーキ屋さんは、ここです。
ラッキーなことに我が家から一番近いケーキ屋さんです。
"le milieu Kamakurayama"
I could see the Patisserie, "le milieu Kamakurayama"
through the trees.
This is my favourite cake shop in Kamakura. Luckily, it's the closest cake shop to our house. |

'石切場' (地図⑦)
だいぶ開けてきました。
ここが '石切場'だと思います。
開けているだけで、他にそれらしき跡は見つけられませんでした。
'Old Quarry' (Map⑦)
Our path has opened up.
I think this is the 'Old Quarry'.
また、階段を登ります。
でもここは整備されていて、嬉しい！
Again climb steps. But I was glad that here is well maintained! |

小さな人(小人)たちの家のようなきのこ？
きのこの一種。
Mushrooms like the homes of Little People?
A Kind of Mushrooms.
コナラはよくきのこ類 (菌類と菌根) を作ると聞きました。
この木はコナラ？
Is this tree Quercus Serrata ? 
実際に木に発生するキクラゲを見たことがありませんが
こんな感じかな？と想像しました。
I haven't actually seen a 'Wood Ear' that occurs on trees, but is it like this? I imagined. |

七里ヶ浜住宅街が見えます！
鎌倉時代なら
「人里が見えるぞ〜！」
と言うところでしょうが、当時は山だったのです。
でも海は見えたかも？？？
I can see the Shichirigahama residential area! In the Kamakura period, people could say, "I can see a village!", though at that time it was a mountain.
But they might have seen the sea? |
3) 鎌倉山分岐 / Kamakurayama Junction

木々が整理されています。
自然に戻す一環かと思います。
The logs are organized. I think it's part of returning to nature. |

左 : 外周コース / 右：石切場
私達は、右から下ってきました。
左の道周辺に作業着を着た男性が一人いました。
「こんにちは！」
「こんにちは！」
彼は外周コースを歩きつつ、小枝を退けていました。
彼の背中のベルトにカマが 鞘 (サヤ)なしで、入っていました。
(ちょっとドッキリ！）
やはり、定期的に世話をする方がいらっしゃるのですね。

Left : Outer Course / Right : Quarry We came down from the right. There was one man in work clothes around the path on the left. "Hello!" "Hello!" He was walking down the Outer Course, dismissing the twigs. There was a sickle on the belt on his back, without a scabbard. (A little surprised!) At last, I could see this scenery, I was happy.
左に伊豆大島が見えます。 |
多少きつい道もありましたが、楽しい散策でした。
違うコースでまた行きたいし、桜のシーズンには、ぜひ、大桜を見に行きたいです。
There were some tough paths, but it was a fun walk.
I want to go again there with a different course, and also during the cherry blossom season, I definitely want to go and see the big cherry blossoms.
