A. 旧駅舎位置
Location of the Former Station Building
観光が目的の旅ではなく、枕崎市文化資料センター南溟館
（鹿児島県枕崎市山手町175番地)
で開催している『第3回枕崎国際芸術賞展』へ行くためでした。
枕崎観光についてほとんどリサーチをしていなかったので、展覧会後、枕崎駅前の観光案内所に行きました。
展覧会については下記。

Location of the Former Station Building
My sister Y and I went to Makurazaki City, Kagoshima Prefecture.
The purpose of the trip was not for sightseeing, but to go to 'The 3rd Makurazaki International Art Award Exhibition' held in Nanmei Museum of Art (175 Yamate-cho, Makurazaki City, Kagoshima Prefecture).
After the exhibition, we went to the tourist information centre in front of Makurazaki Station because I hadn't done much research on Makurazaki tourism.

B. いきなり... / Suddenly
観光の資料を集めたり、観光について聞いたりしよと案内所へ入りました。
まずは、そこでのど飴を買おうと、窓口へ行きました。
スタッフの方が窓口へいらして、突然、顔つきの貝殻を指さして、
「これをあげますよ。目の前で描きますからね。
すぐ描けます。
ビデオ、撮ってください!」
と言われ、
「あっ、はい！」
と言われるままに、i-phoneの動画の準備をしました。

| 'ハッピーおじさん' 枕崎で取れた貝に顔を描き、それを 'ハッピーおじさん' と名付けて、訪問者にプレゼントしています。 'Happy Uncle' They draw a face on a shell picked nearby Makurazaki, name it 'Happy Uncle', and present it to visitors. |
Suddenly
We went into the information centre to collect tourism materials and ask about tourism.
First of all, I went to a reception counter to buy some throat lozenges there.
A staff came to the reception and suddenly pointed to a shell with a face on it and said,
"I'll give you this. I'll draw it right in front of you.
I can draw it right away.
Please take a video!"
"Ah! Yes...!"
I prepared the video for my i-phone as I was told.
'顔付き貝' は、全く私の趣味ではありませんでしたが、スタッフさんの優しい雰囲気と枕崎の思い出として、Yともども、貝を受け取らせていただきました。
この貝を失くしたり、捨てたりしたらバチがあたりそうで、大事に持って帰りました。
ありがとうございました。
'Face Shell' was not my taste at all, but Y and I received the shell as a memory of Makurazaki and the friendly atmosphere of the staff.
I felt if I lost this shell or threw it away, I would be hit with a drumstick, so I (we) took it home with care.

C. ポスター観光 / Poster Tourism
観光できるのは、今日(27日)だけで、そのうえ、展覧会を見た後の時間だけでした。
枕崎の多くの観光スポットを訪れることはできないことは、わかっていました。
観光案内所には、多くのポスターが展示してありました。
それらを見ること、撮影することで、少しばかり、枕崎観光をした気分を味わいました。
Sightseeing was only possible today (27th) and only after seeing the exhibition.
I knew I wouldn't be able to visit many of the tourist attractions in Makurazaki.
Many posters were displayed at the tourist information centre.
Seeing and taking pictures of them made me feel a little bit like Makurazaki sightseeing.

将来、最北・稚内駅へ行けるかどうかわかりませんが、なにはともあれ、最南端・枕崎駅へ来た証明書 (下の画像) を買いました。
I don't know if I'll be able to go to the northernmost Wakkanai station in the future, but anyway, I bought an 'Arrival Certificate', below showing that I came to the southernmost end Makurazaki station.

| 到着証明書 9月26日にバスで、鹿児島空港から枕崎入りしました。 実際にJR 枕崎駅を使用したのは、9月28日早朝(始発)でした。 その時間には、案内所は開いていないので、 前日27日に観光案内所で買いました。 私にとっては、出発証明書ですね。 写真は、夕日 (と思います) の中の立神岩 (タテガミイワ)。 Arrival Certificate On 26th, September, we took a bus from Kagoshima Airport to Makurazaki. I actually used JR Makurazaki Station early in the morning of 28th, September (first train). The information centre wasn't open at that time, so I bought it at the tourist information centre on the 27th. For me, it's a departure certificate. 2) ミニ博物館 / Mini-Museum
私達が宿泊したのは、駅前の枕崎ステーションホテルでした。
そのホテルのお隣に、サザン・ヒルズという福祉施設の建物があります。
その建物の道路に面した軒先部分に、南薩鉄道の 'ミニ博物館' があります。
正式に、'ミニ博物館' と呼ばれているのかはわかりませんが、私はそのように感じました。
'ミニ博物館' は、その記念館の協力で設置されたと聞きました。
私達は、バスで、鹿児島空港から枕崎へ来ましたが、その途中で、蒸気機関車・鹿児島交通4号機 : DD1201を見ました。
あそこが、南薩鉄道記念館の一部であったのだと思い当たりました。

Mini-Museum
We stayed at the Makurazaki Station Hotel in front of the station.
Next to the hotel, there is a welfare facility building called Southern Hills.
There is a 'Mini-Museum' of the Nansatsu Railway on the eaves of the building facing the road.
I don't know if it's officially called a 'Mini-Museum', but I felt like it.
Later, I found that there is a railroad preservation and exhibition facility called 'Nansatsu Tetsudo Museum' in Minamisatsuma City (former Kaseda City).
I heard that the 'Mini-Museum' was set up with the cooperation of the 'Nansatsu Tetsudo Museum'.

I am following the railway track on the ground and photographing.
The plate (letter) of the last Makurazaki station has disappeared.
写真を撮ったつもりが、動画でした。

| 花渡川 花渡橋 (ケドバシ) から東シナ海方面を見ています。 橋は、松之尾橋。 海からキャップのように突き出ているのは、 標高42mの立神岩です。 岬は、火之神岬 (ヒノカミミサキ)です。 モノクロで撮影してみました。 I tried to take a picture in monochrome : black-and-white.  Kedo River Looking towards the East China Sea from Kedo Bridge. The bridge is Matsunoo Bridge. Protruding from the sea like a cap is the Tategami Rock, which is 42 meters above sea level. The cape is Hinokami Cape. |

| 開聞岳 左が開聞岳 (カイモンダケ)、標高 924m。 別名、薩摩富士 (サツマフジ)。 翌日、海岸沿を走る指宿枕崎線の電車からも 見ることができました。 手前の小山(丘)の名前はわかりません。 Kaimondake : Mount Kaimon Kaimondake : Mount Kaimon in the Left, altitude 924m. Another name is Satsuma Fuji. The next day, we were able to see it from the train on the Ibusuki Makurazaki Line that runs along the coast. I don't know the name of the hill in the foreground. |
