From Kamakurayama to Shichirigahama
昨年から、七里ガ浜住宅街の西友へ買い物に行くことは特別なことでなくなっています。
買い物だけなら、夫Rに任せられますが、運動不足解消の目的があるので、私も出かけるようになりました。

From Kamakurayama to Shichirigahama
Since last year, going shopping to Seiyu supermarket in Shichirigahama residential area is no longer a special thing.
If it's just shopping, it's up to my husband R, but I also started going out for the purpose of solving my lack of exercise.

A. 少し遠回り / A Little Detour
七里ヶ浜住宅街の庭は、よく手入れされ、工夫されているところが多いです。
四季によって植物は変化し、地元のイベントも開催されています。
新築なのか、改築なのかわかりませんが、新しい建物も時折見ることができます。
なので、いつ行っても何かしら新しい発見があり、楽しいです。
我が家から西友までの最短距離のコースはありますが、通常は少し遠回りしてコースを変えます。
A Little Detour
The gardens of the Shichirigahama residential area are often well maintained and devised.
The plants change with the four seasons, and local events are also held.
I don't know if it's a new building or a renovation, but I can occasionally see new buildings as well.
So, whenever I go, I have some new discoveries and it's fun.
There is a shortest course from our home to Seiyu supermarket, but usually we take a little detour and change our route.

今年は、フヨウの写真をよく撮りました。
それは七里ガ浜住宅街にはフヨウが多く植えられているからだなのだと、今、気がつきました。
This year, I often took photographs of Confederate Rose.
I now realize that this is because many Confederate Roses are planted in the Shichirigahama residential area.
B. 緑のプロムナード / Green Promenade
緑のプロムナードの両側には家々が建っています。
プロムナード側に玄関があります。
西友への行きか帰り、もしくはその両方、緑のプロムナードを通ります。
緑のプロムナードは最短距離のルートの一部です。
Green Promenade
Houses are built on both sides of Green Promenade.
Each has an entrance on the Promenade side.
Go along the Promenade to and from the Supermarket, or both.
The Promenade is part of our shortest route.

今まで見たことがあった花かもしれませんが、私はユッカ蘭の花に初めて気がついたのです。
花の季節は春と秋の2回なのだそうで、きっと春に咲いていることきもここで見たのではないかと思いますが記憶にありません。
英語の別名は、10以上あります。
It may be a flower I've seen before, but I first noticed the Yucca Orchid flower.
It seems that there are two flower seasons, spring and autumn, and I'm sure I saw the flowers blooming in spring here, but I don't remember.
The scientific name is Yucca Gloriosa, and another name is Spanish Dagger.
There are more than 10 English aliases.

緑のプロムナードに複数のフヨウが咲いています。
そう、ここにもフヨウがあるので、フヨウを撮影する機会が自ずと増えるのですね。

〜〜 穂の出たすすきを稲穂に見立てて飾ったと言われています。
魔除けとしてのすすき
古くからすすきは神様の依り代と考えられていました。

また、すすきの鋭い切り口は、魔除けになるとも考えられました。
そのため、お月見のすすきには悪霊や災いなどから収穫物を守り、
翌年の豊作を願う意味が込められています。
地域によってはお月見に飾ったすすきは捨てず、庭や水田に立てたり、軒先に吊ったりして、災いから田や家を守る風習が今でも残っています。"
