夜明け・3月5日
私のカメラ(腕)では本来の美しい色は再現できません。
ですが撮影し続けます。

My camera (skill) cannot reproduce the original beautiful colours.
However, I will continue to photograph.

美しいだけでなく、雲の在り方で、ドラマチックなのです。

Not only is it beautiful, but it is also dramatic
because of the way the clouds are.

2) 夜桜 / Night Cherry Blossoms

夜桜・3月5日
これは庭のさくらんぼの木です。
部屋から、お花見をしました。

Night Cherry Blossoms, 5th of March
This is a 'Bird Cherry Tree' in our garden.
We had Ohanami : Cherry Blossom Viewing from Room.

桜色

スパークリング・ワインに手拭いの桜(色)が反映し

ロゼに見えます。

幸福の泡が見えます。

Cherry Colour

The sparkling wine reflects the cherry blossoms (colours) on Tenugui

and looks like a rosé.

Tenugui is a thin Japanese hand towel made from cotton.

I see bubbles of happiness.

3) 足跡 / Footprints

足跡・3月10日
前日にこの部分を花壇にしようと土を掘り起こしました。
珍しく私が力仕事をしました。
朝見るとアライグマか狸の足跡 : ★ がついていました。
柔らかい土を楽しんだのか、食べ物を探し求めたのか
わかりません。
'野生' が近くにあることを感じます。

Footprints, 10th of March

The day before, I cultivated the soil to make this part a flowerbed.

Unusually I did a rough work.

When I saw here in the morning, there were Raccoon or Raccoon dog footprints: ★

I don't know if it enjoyed the soft soil or sought food.

I feel that 'wild 'is nearby.

私はアライグマだと思います。

Rが私の意見を取り入れず、狸だと言い、近所でその足跡を見たいい、私をその場へ連れてゆきました。

そこは私達が七里ヶ浜住宅街へ行き来するときに使用する '秘密の坂' でした。

R didn't take my opinion, said it was a raccoon dog and he had seen some footsteps in the neighborhood, so he took me there.

It was on the 'Secret Hill' that we use when traveling to and from the Shichirigahama residential area.

猫の足跡
肉球の跡のみで爪の跡はありません。
上のサイトで説明されているように狸は爪痕を残すので、
これは猫の足跡かと思います。

Cat Footprints
There are no traces of nails, only traces of paws.
As explained on the site above, raccoon dogs leave claw marks,
so I think these are cat's footprints.

実は半月ほど後になって、この場所で2匹の猫を見ました。
なので、その猫の足跡だと確信します。
私の足跡もついてしまいました...。

4) 女王マグノリア / QueenMagnolia

近所の木蓮・3月10日
とても立派に咲いています。
高い位置から見下ろしていて、女王の風格を感じます。

It blossoms honorably!
Looking down from a high position, I feel it has a Queen's presence.

角地のお宅、その高さ、一層その風格を感じます。

The house on the corner, and its height,
make my feeling of its personality.

なんと誇らしく咲いていることでしょう！
What a proud bloom!

女王マグノリア / Queen Magnolia

5) 庭 / Garden

A. 3月11日 / 11th of March

バーベナ
私達は、初めてバーベナを植えました。
Rはこれが一番好きなようです。
特に花を摘んで生けたものを気に入っています。
バーベナにはたくさんの種類があるようで、
花の形も葉の形もかなり違います。
もちろん色も豊富です。

Verbena
We planted Verbena for the first time.
R seems to like this the most.
He especially likes the picked flowers.
There seem to be many types of verbena,
and the shapes of flowers and leaves are quite different.
Of course, there are many colours.

バーベナ
バーベナの別名は、美女桜 (ビジョザクラ)。
春から晩秋まで咲き続けけるそうなので、期待しています。
私のお気に入りは白いバーベナです。

Verbena
Another name for Verbena is Bijozakura in Japanese
which means beautiful Woman Cherry Blossoms.
It seems that it can continue to bloom from spring to late autumn,
so I'm looking forward to it.
My favourite is white verbena.

ピンクの好きなRはもちろん、こちらの方が
好きに違いありません。

R likes pink colours, he must like this one more.

復活！
友人Iさんからいただいたミニ薔薇。
一度は根とわずかな葉の状態になり、そこからここまで
復活して嬉しい限りです。

Recovery!
A mini rose from our friend I San.
Once it was down to roots and a few leaves,
I am glad that it has revived to this.

新顔
'アルメリア'・"バレリーナ"は、今年の新顔です。
無事、育ってくれるでしょうか？

New Face
'Almeria' (Estoril thrift) is a new face this year.
Will you grow up safely?

ペチュニア・"ソフィアの宝石"
'驚異的な生育の良さ、80～100cm程度に育つ'
という謳い文句ですが、なかなか育ちません。
暖かく見守ります。

Petunia・ "Sophia's Jewel"

The phrase is

"amazingly good growth, it grows up to about 80-100 cm",

but it doesn't grow easily.

I will watch over you warmly.

黄色いパンジー
色によりパンジーの花言葉は変わるそうです: ★。
黄色いパンジーの花言葉は
"つつましい幸せ、記憶、田舎の喜び"。

Yellow Pansy

It seems that in language of flowers Pansy's changes

depending on the colour.

The language of flower of yellow pansy is

"Humble Happiness, Memory, Countryside Joy".

古顔
蕾をつけ始めています。
私達が住み始める前からここにいたフリージアです。
植えてもいないのに咲き出したときは嬉しい喜びがありました。
年々、大きくなってゆくので毎年開花を見るのが楽しみです。

Old Face

It is starting to put on buds.

Freesia was here before we started living here.

I was happy when it started to bloom even though I hadn't planted it.

It grows bigger year by year, so I'm looking forward to seeing it

bloom every year.

開花 / Flowering

こんにちは！ / Hello!

ブルーベリー
ブルーベリーの蕾は、膨らみつつあります。

Blueberry
Blueberry are in full buds.

モミジバ・ゼラニウム
昨年からずっと元気な "モミジバ・ゼラニウム"。
我が庭にきて今年で3年めになります。
初年度にはほとんど花は咲きませんでしたが
昨年、今年と花をつけています。
6つあった苗から2つが無事に育っています。
この植物は、花でなく葉を楽しむために購入しましたが
花が咲くとやっぱり嬉しいのです。

Maple Leaf Geranium

Maple Leaf Geranium has been energetic since last year.

It's been 3 years since they came to our garden.

Almost no flowers bloomed in the first year,

but last year and this year, they are in bloom.

Two of the six seedlings are growing safely.

I bought the plants to enjoy the leaves, not the flowers,

however, when the flowers bloom, I'm just as happy.

6) 大切なこと / Important Thing

土を掘り起こした場所に苗を植えました。

苗を購入した時には、花壇を計画していませんでした。

なので、鉢から適当に選んで、私の気分で植えました。

今までの経験上、レイアウトを考えて計画し植えても土地に合わない植物は育ちません。

植物の特性を見極められない私は気分で植え、どれが育ってくれるかな〜と観察し続けます。

大事なことは庭、庭仕事で自分達が癒されることであり、庭を美しく保つためにストレスや疲労をため、義務感を伴うまでに自分たちを追い込まないことだと思っています。

こんな態度で庭をいじっているので、私達の庭は、綺麗なレウアウトではありません。

庭の好きな方やプロの方が私達の庭を見たら、嘆くかもしれませんが、私達の庭ですから、好きにしますよ〜！

庭仕事・3月16日
通常は、Rが庭の世話をします。
この日は彼の体調があまり良くなかったので、私がしました。

Garden Work, 16th of March
Normally, R takes care of our garden.
I did it today because he wasn't feeling well that day.

Important Thing

I planted seedlings in the place where the soil was dug up.

I didn't plan a flowerbed when I bought the seedlings.

So I chose some from among the pots and planted them as I felt.

From my experience so far, even if I plant considering the layout, plants would not suit the land, the plants might not grow well.

I can't determine the characteristics of the plant, so I plant them as

I feel and keep observing which ones will grow.

The important thing is to heal ourselves in the garden and garden work, and I think that we should not drive ourselves to the point of duty because of stress and fatigue to keep the garden beautiful.

Our garden is not a beautiful layout because we are messing around with it this way.

If you like gardens or if you are a professional, you may mourn about our garden, but since it is our garden, we will do as we like!

バーベナ
フラワーアレンジにとても貢献してくれています。

Verbena
They contribute very much to the flower arrangement.

ダブル・イエロー
黄色のフリージア(奥)と黄色のミモザ。
このミモザは二代目です。
最初のミモザはこのくらいの大きさから、背丈ほどまで成長しました。
けれど何かしらの理由...台風、塩害...で、枯れてしまいました。
もう一度チャレンジしようと再び購入しました。

Double Yellow

Yellow freesia (behind) and yellow mimosa.

This mimosa is the second.

The first mimosa grew from this size to about my height.

But for some reason ... typhoon, salt damage ... it withered.

Again I bought one, to try again.

'クーデルスタート'
心配事があったり、気弱になったりした時に
とても慰めてくれます。

'Madeira Cherry Red'
This is very comforting to me when I'm worried or when I'm weak.

7) 庭とフラワーアレンジメント

A. ソメイヨシノ / Yoshino Cherry

ソメイヨシノの開花・3月17日
この日、私達は、初めてソメイヨシノの開花を見ました。

On this day, we saw the flowering of Yoshino Cherry
for the first time.

もう少しで咲きそう....

B. 花壇 / Flowerbed

花壇・3月17日
例年、苗を植えたり植物を鉢から地植えにしたりするときは、
どこかの隙間を見つけて植えました。
今年初めて花壇らしいスペースを設けました。

Flowerbed, 17th of March

Every year, when planting seedlings in the ground

or planting plants from pots,

we found gaps somewhere and planted them.

For the first time this year, we have set up a space

that looks like a flowerbed.

チューリップ？
何年か前にチューリップの球根を鉢に植えました。
そのシーズンは咲いて楽しませてくれました。
球根の掘り上げをすることを知らず、そのまま放置していました。
翌年、花も咲くこともなかったので、
Rが鉢の土を庭にまきました。
今年、突然、この状態で育ってきました。
とてもひ弱そうなので、花はつけないと思いますが
そのままにして見守りたいと思います。

Tulip?

I planted tulip bulbs in pots a few years ago.

They bloomed and entertained me that season.

I didn't know to dig up the bulbs and left them as they were.

The following year, the flowers did not bloom,

so R sprinkled the soil from the pot in the garden.

This year, this suddenly grows up in this state.

It seems to be very weak, so I don't think this will have a flower,

but I would like to keep an eye on it.
