| さくらんぼの花は満開 Bird Cherry Tree is in Full Bloom  悲しいことに、少し散り始めています。 Sadly, it's starting to fall a little.  デッキに花びらが散っています。 Petals are scattered on the deck. |

| お茶の時間 夫Rが庭仕事をしたあとでお茶を庭でしました。 彼は、3つの桜の和菓子から、 '花桜桃' (ハナオウトウ) を選びました。 蜜漬けされた山形県産のさくらんぼが入っています。 包装から出したら形が崩れてしまいました。 下の画像のような形になるはずでした。 Tea time After my husband R did the garden work, we had tea time in the garden. He chose 'Hanaouto' (Flower Cherry) from three Japanese sweets of cherry blossoms time. Contains honey-pickled cherry from Yamagata prefecture. 若い友人YちゃんがM大学に合格しました。
金メダルのカードをお祝いに見つけました。
そのカードは、ある部分を押すと
が流れます。
ユダス・マカベウスは、イギリスの作曲家・
ゲオルク・フリードリヒ・ヘンデル (1685 - 1759)
が作曲しました。
この曲は、日本では表彰式でよく使用されますね。

| おめでとうございます！ 楽しく豊かな学生時代が過ごせますように。 メダルのリボンの3色に合わせて、 Rが封筒にYちゃんの名前を描きました。 私がメダルに桜のシールを貼りました。 投函には'スマート・レター' を使用し、この日に投函ました。 Yちゃんには喜んでいただけたようです。 Congratulations! We wish you a happy and rich student life. R drew her name on the envelope according to the three colours of the medal ribbon. I put cherry flower stickers on the medal. We used a 'smart letter' for posting and posted it on this day. It seems that Y was pleased. |
Entering
Young friend Y passed M university.
I found a gold medal card for her celebration.
When she presses a certain part of the card, the music :
will be played.
Judas Maccabaeus was composed by a British composer,
George Frideric Handel (1685 - 1759).
This music is often used at awards ceremonies in Japan.
3) '春告魚' / 'Fish Telling Spring'
'春告魚 (ハルツゲウオ)' と呼ばれる魚は、いくつかあります。
私が、'春告魚'と感じるのは、イカナゴです。
私は神戸に住んだことがあり、その時にイカナゴの佃煮を知りました。
'イカナゴのくぎ煮'と呼ばれることもあるようですが、地元の人は、
あまりその呼び方をしなかったように記憶しています。
神戸では、'イカナゴ' と呼ぶだけで、それはイカナゴの佃煮を意味していますし、少なくとも私はそう理解しています。
その季節になると、神戸では、あちらこちらの家々から'イカナゴ' を炊く(関西では煮る意味) 匂いがしてきます。
私は神戸に住んでいる時から、周囲の人々からいただいて、自分で作ったことがいまだかつてありません。
周囲の人々の好意に甘えて、いただいてばかりです。
ありがとうございます。

| イカナゴの佃煮 3月9日撮影 神戸の友人Miさんからイカナゴの佃煮が届きました！ 「わあ！もうそんな季節！春〜！」 ここ何年か、イカナゴの収穫が少なくなって手に入れるのが 難しくなっているそうです。 その中で、Mさんは、毎年手作りのイカナゴの佃煮を 送ってくれます。 大好きなイカナゴ！ ありがとうございました。 Tsukudani of Japanese Sand Lance Photograph on 9th of March I received a Tsukudani of Japanese Sand Lance : 'Ikanago' from my friend Mi in Kobe. "Wow! Already that season! Spring!" In recent years, the catch of sand lance has decreased and it has become difficult to obtain. Despite the difficulty, Mi sends homemade the Tsukudani every year. 'Fish Telling Spring'
There are several fish called 'Fish Telling Spring' in Japan.
When I had lived in Kobe, I knew of the Tsukudani of Sand Lance.
It seems that it is sometimes called 'Kugi-ni' ; 'Nail Boiled' (because the shape is similar to nails), however, I remember that the locals didn't call it that much.

In Kobe, just calling it 'Ikanago' means its Tsukudani, and at least I understand that.
In that season, in Kobe, you can smell the 'Ikanago' cooking from houses, here and there.
I have never cooked it myself since I had lived in Kobe, because I have been given some from people around me.
I have just received the favours of the people around me.

| イカナゴ到着 3月14日に神戸の友人Sさんからイカナゴが送られてきました。 昨年、Sさんから、 『イカナゴを手に入れることが難しくなったので 今年が最後です』 というメッセージが添えられてイカナゴが届きました。 ですが、ひょんなことから手に入ったということで 今年も届きました。 ありがとうございました。 Ikanago Arrived On 14th of March, I have got 'Ikamago' from my friend S in Kobe. Last year, S send me Ikanago with her message, "This year is the last because it became difficult to get Ikamago." However, it arrived this year too, because she got it by chance. Thank you very much. |
