英国で友人になったMと神戸で会いました。
この日は、ランチからディナーまで彼女と一緒に過ごしました。
私は英国留学したおかげで、若い友人が数人できたことに、とても感謝しています。
留学中も、帰国後も、彼らにどんなに助けられ、刺激を受けてきたことでしょう!
Mは大阪在住ですが、フットワークが軽いので、比較的合っている友人なのではないかと思います。
2017年4月の、東京の個展 (下記) にも来てくれていました。いつもありがとう！

LUNCH With M
I met a friend, M in Kobe, who I had met M in Britain.
I spent the day with her from lunchtime to dinner.

Thanks to my study in Britain, I am very grateful because I made a few young friends there.
I wonder how much they have helped me and stimulated me while I was studying abroad and after returning to Japan!
M lives in Osaka, but I think that we have met relatively often because she is active.
She also came to my exhibition in Tokyo in April 2017, below. Thank you as always!

When I traveled in Kansai in 2010, I could not meet her because she was in Sendai.

MATSUSHIMA
素敵なレストランでした。
Mが私のためにリサーチし、選び、予約し、案内もしてくれました。
彼女が歓迎してくれる暖かな気持ちを感じます。
It was a lovely restaurant.
M researched for me, chose it, booked it and gave me directions as well.

| ひとつひとつのモノ選びにお店の独自のセンスを感じます。 パンの黒い小皿が、スレート (粘板岩 / ネンバンガン) のようですが、 陶器だと思います。 I feel the distinctive sense of the restaurant from everything they have chosen. Small black dishes for bread look like slates, although I think they are earthenware.  |

上の3種類の白ワインから1つ選びました。
でもどれを選んだのか忘れてしまいました (苦笑)。
I chose a glass of white wine.

But I forgot which one I chose (Wry Smile).
フランス料理のお店は比較的こんな分量しか
注いでくれないので、私はいつも悲しい...。
でもランチですし、これから散策もするので、これくらいで
ちょうどよかったように思います。
As French cuisine restaurants pour relatively little, like this,
I am always sad ....
Though this was lunch, so I would take a walk with her later
so I think perhaps it was good just like this.

見て楽しみ、食べて楽しみがストレートに表現される一品です。 Is this food suited to this tableware or the tableware adapted to the food with this idea ...?This dish is clearly both amusing to see and enjoyable to eat. |

「普通のタラとは全然違います」
と説明されて、いただいたタラ料理。
美味しかったです。
食材にこだわりをもつレストランです。

試験管に入ったお茶の葉を見せてくれ、香りも嗅がせてくれて
選ばせてくれます。
体験してアートを楽しむ現代アートのような演出です。
They
show us tea-leaves in the test-tubes, let us smell the fragrances
and
let us choose.

performance looks like one type of contemporary art :

デザートが2種類もあり、そのうえ、焼き菓子も付いています。
デザートいらないから、ワインもう一杯ください...というのがホンネですが、日頃食べない手の込んだスィートを食べるのも旅の楽しみです。
There are two kinds of dessert, besides baked confectionery.
My real feeling was that I would not have dessert, instead of the dessert please give me another wine...however, it is a pleasure in trips that I eat elaborate sweets which I do not usually eat.

きゃ〜っ、すみません....。どうもありがとう (涙)!
洗練された味とドラマティックな演出、素敵な時間でした。
Mとおしゃべりできたのも、嬉しかったです。
