2016年10月23日 朝井閑右衛門展 - 空想の饗宴 / Asai Kan-e-mon Exhibition - Banquet of Fantasy

朝井閑右衛門 (1901 - 1983) 画伯は、洋画を独学で学び、厚塗りの手法で知られ、
バラの絵がもっとも有名なのではないかと思います。

私は、2015年の個展: Coonie's Space Quest を、招山ギャラリー由比ヶ浜でさせていただくまで、彼の存在を知りませんでした。

練馬美術館で開催された"朝井閑右衛門展 - 空想の饗宴"で、初めて画伯の作品をまとめて見ました。

そのうえ、テーマが'空想の饗宴'なので、画伯の空想世界の作品が集められていたので、私にはとてもあっていました。

今回、展覧会の会場で、ちらっと、ルオー (ジョルジュ・ルオー / Georges Rouault / 1871 - 1958) の絵を思い出しました。

18th of September, 2016 ~ 13th of November, 2016

Asai Kan-e-mon (1901 - 1983) was a self-educated painter, known for 'thick painting way' and I think his rose pictures are most famous.

I did not know of him before my Exhibition : Coonie's Space Quest, 2015 in Shozan Gallery, Yuigahama.

The gallery is in a corner of Asai Kan-e-mon's Studio House Garden.

This was the first time I saw the painter's works gathered for the Exhibition.

Moreover, the theme of the Exhibition was 'Banquet of Fantasy', so the works suited me very well.

While I was there some pictures of Georges Rouault (1871 - 1958) came into my mind.

Nerima (練馬区) is a 'special ward' : one of the 23 wards in Tokyo, Japan. 

美術館の周囲は公園
幼い頃から美術館に親しみがもてるようにという願いが感じられます。

Around the Museum is a Park
I feel they hope people begin familiarity with the Museum from childhood.

展覧会は撮影禁止なので、屋内での展覧会関係の写真は2点のみです。

 They did not allow photographs in the Exhibition,
so only two photographs inside related to the Exhibition.

記念コンサート

この日のみ、記念コンサートがロビーで行われ、
私達もそこに居合わせることができました。
コンサートは、素敵でした。
満席で、人々の関心の高さが伺われます。

which was lovely.
All seats were taken showing people's strong interest.
