1) 青山 / Aoyama
ピンポント・ギャラリーのオーナーのSさんに会ったあとで、ランチを青山でしました。
Rがパンが好きなので、Sさんからパンが美味しいと言って勧めていただいた
'シカダ' / 'CICADA' に行きました。(ちなみにCICADAとはセミの意味）
お店のサイト : ★
都会のお店らしく、おしゃれで、スタッフの気配りも行き届いていて、食事も美味しかったです。
パンが美味しいのは、ベーカリーもカフェ・レストランに併設されているからですね。
や〜、都会はいいな〜!と鎌倉の山奥からでてきた私は思うのでした。

R loves bread, so S san recommended 'CICADA' whose bread is delicious and we went there.

The cafe restaurant is Tokyo-urban-style, staff pay proper attention and lunch is good.
Their bread is nice, because they have their bakery, too.
Oh! the urban city is wonderful!
I who came from deep in the mountains in Kamakura.

A.博物館 / Museum
新宿歴史博物館 (シンジュクレキシハクブツカン) に、
"お江戸なんでもランキング" 展
を見に行きました。

私はこの博物館に初めて訪れました。
郷土といっても大都市なので、日本の歴史とほぼ重なるように感じました。
最も印象に残ったのは庭です。

Museum
We went to Shinjuku Historical Museum, they had an exhibition
"Oedo Nandemo Ranking ; Ranking Every Item in Edo Period" .
The Museum collect local materials which are related to Shinjuku and was opened in 1989.
It was the first time I visited here.
Even though they say 'local', anyway Shinjuku is a big city so I feel their history is similar to Japanese history.
Their garden is what has remained most in my mind.

マンホールのようなものでしょうか？ 新宿歴史博物館が近いと感じさせてくれます。 私達は行きは都営地下鉄新宿線 曙橋駅から歩き 帰りは丸ノ内線四谷三丁目駅まで歩きました。 これは曙駅からの道で撮影しました。 Picture on the Pavement : Earthenware Does it work as manhole? It shows us we are close to the Museum. We went to the Museum from Toei Shinjuku Line, Akebonobashi Station on foot and from the Museum to Marunouchi Line, Yostuya-sanchoume Station. This was taken from Akebonobashi Station on our way there. |

今で言うランキングの元祖にスポットを当てた展示です。"
これを読んで、Rに日本文化を見せたいと思って行きました。

撮影しなかったので私の写真はこのポスターだけです。
ランキング表がもちろん日本語なので、この展覧会は
彼にとってはあまり楽しめなかったようです。
私はおもしろいな〜と思いました。
夕食のおかずランキングとかまであって、笑える...
そう、このランキングはまじめなものから
ジョーク的要素が含まれたものなのでした。

Every Item in Edo Period Poster
Their
official website say (I translate myself),
"The Banzuke were
familiar to Edo people.
Those
were various things in daily-life from famous places, plays, liquor,
loves and desires, natural
disasters, things they were proud of in Edo......
The displays shows the original spotlighting of things,
what we would nowadays call ranking "
(Original
Banzuke is a
document listing the rankings of sumo wrestlers
published before each tournament.)
I
read this, I would show R Japanese culture and we went.
I
did not photograph in the exhibition, so my photograph about it is
just this poster.
The
Ranking lists are in Japanese, of course, so R did not enjoy so much.
I
was interested in them.
They
have about dinner dish rankings...I laughed.
Oh!
Yes! These are from serious things to joking ones.

小田急ロマンスカー3100型のシートや運転台が
休憩場所にあります。
There are some seats and driver-cabin from a special train :
Odakyu Electric Railway's Romancecar in the rest space.

| 庭を眺めながら休憩 We looked at the garden, it was relaxing.  |

| 地上3階、地下1階 庭に出ることができます。春には桜も楽しめるようです。 1 floor under ground and 3 floors above. We can go out into the garden. We could enjoy cherry blossoms in spring.  |

| 復元模型 ; 内藤新宿 内藤新宿（ナイトウシンジュク）は、江戸時代にあった宿場の一つ。 現在では、新宿一丁目 ~ 三丁目の一帯です。 内藤家の江戸屋敷がこの地にあったのでその名が付いています。 Reconstruction Model ; Naitou Shinjuku Naitou Shinjuku was one of Shkuba : post stations in Edo Period. Nowadays there are Shinjuku 1 Chome ~ 3 Chome. Naitou Family Manor house of Edo was here so the name remained.  撮影可能な場所はジオラマ付近です。 他の場所には原寸の復元された店や部屋が展示されています。 Photographs are just diorama, because here did allows photographs. Other exhibits are life size reconstruction models.  日本人は桜が好きですね〜。私も！ Japanese love cherries, don't we? Including me! |

| 都電レプリカ 都電11系統(新宿駅前-月島通八丁目)・12系統(新宿駅前-両国駅)を 走っていた5000形のレプリカ : オリジナルは1930年に作られています。 蛇足ながら...都電は路面電車で、現在も荒川線が運営されています。 Toden Replica Toden is tram in Tokyo. The original first ran in 1930. Still now Todan runs in Tokyo as Toden Arakawa Line.   都電関連資料 / Data related to Toden |
私は特別展も常設展も面白かったです。
また来たいな〜と思える博物館でした。
予想外に、Rも楽しかったそうで、また来たいそうです。
I enjoyed the special and the permanent exhibitions.
I would come to this museum again.
Unexpectedly R enjoyed here and said he too would come again.
