❷東京 - カフェ, 3月21日 / Tokyo - Cafes , 21st of March, 2015

1) フジカフェ/ Fujis Cafe

日本民藝館へ行く前に寄りました。

この辺りは、カフェが少なく、禁煙席があり、Rの嫌いなニンニクやオニオンの匂いがしない店を見つけるのが大変です。

このカフェはそれらをパス。

お隣に美味しいパン屋さん (ベーカリー）があり、そちらでもパンを買ってしまいました。

ハワイアン風
今晩、フラダンスを見るので、なんとなくリンクを感じました。

Hawaiin Style
We expect to see Hula Hula dancing tonight, somehow I felt a coincidental link.

Before the Japanese Folk Museum, we went into this cafe.

There are not so many cafes nearby and it is difficult finding one which suits us, has no smokers seats and no smell of onion or garlic, which R hates.

This cafe passes on both tests.

Moreover, next-door is a good bakery, so we bought some bread there.

ギネスビールをメニューの中に見つけて早速注文。
Rはコーヒー。

I found Guinness beer in their menu,
I asked for it at once.
R had two cups of coffee.

エスニックまたはハワイアン スタイルランチ
こういう味は久しぶりで美味しく感じましたが、
あとで胃がちょっともたれました。
年でしょうか〜〜？

Ethnic or Hawaii Style Lunch
I had't had these tastes for a long time and I enjoyed lunch,
however, later it sat a little heavily on my stomach.
Is this my age~~~?

Rはオープンサンドイッチ
R had Open Sandwich

2) アームウッドコテージ / Armwood Cottage

日本民藝館のあとに、新宿本店 "世界堂" に個展の版画作品のための額の下見に行きました。

そこから友人芝ちゃんのライヴ会場まで歩いて向かい、アームウッドコテージというカフェでちょっと食べてという計画でした。

でも.....

After the Japanese Museum, I looked at possible frames for my exhibition prints in the main shop of "Seakaido" in Shinjuku which a big artistic media shop.

I had planned that after the shop we would walk to a live-house where a friend, Siba Chan would have his performance that night and before it we would have a little meal in a cafe : "Armwood Cottage".

However.... 

お目当のその店が満席で、通常予約が必要のようでした。

レストランでもないのに、予約が必要とは...さすが東京と言うべきでしょうか？

興味があったお店なので、残念でしたが、あとで全面喫煙可と知ったので、

入れなくて良かったのかも....

We popped in the cafe, although full of the seats and we seemed to need booking.

Even though it is not a restaurant, it needs reservations,

 indeed, here is Tokyo, isn't it?

I was interested in the cafe so it was quite disappointing,

however later I found out smokers can sit anywhere, 

so maybe it was good for us that we could not get a table.

3) 四谷珈琲 / Yotsuya Coffee 

"アームウッドコテージ "に入れなかったので、その先にあるカフェ、"四谷珈琲"に入りました。

カフェオレは美味しかったし、店員さんも親切で、ラッキーな気分。

We could not eat in "Armwood Cottage", so we went into a cafe : "Yotsuya Coffee".

Their café au lait was good and the staff are friendly and kindly, so I felt lucky.

カップがかわいい！
Their cups are lovely!

ここで、ライブ開始時間が迫っていることに気がつき、
急いでライブハウスに向かいました。

Here we found the time was very close to the live start time.
We left and walked there quickly.
