海岸から移動しま〜す！

We are moving to the hill from the coast! 

上り坂！ 
この道を上ってゆきます。

 UP Hill~~!
We are going up along this path.

'セブン シスターズ'！
'Seven Sisters'

セブン シスターズ'とカックミア ヘブン河口

'Seven Sisters' and Cuckmere Haven (Cuckmere Estuary)

家は'Coastguard Cottages'. (沿岸警備隊員コテージ）
カフェもあるはず。でも珍しことに私達は寄りませんでした。

The houses are Coastguard Cottages.
There must be a cafe. Unusually we did not pop in.

たくさんの人が犬と一緒です。
Many people are with their dogs.

崖下の撮影は、このへんが私の限界！
This is my limit for taking photographs near the edge.

こちらの崖は白ではありません。
The cliffs over here are not white.

むこうの崖(センブン•シスターズ)の起伏がみえるようになりました。
あの上をイーストボーンに向かう
サウス ダウンズ ウエイ /'South Downs Way'が続いています。
シーフォード/ Seaford の町からイーストボーン/ Eastbourneまで
10マイル(約16Km)だそうです。

From here I can now see the up and down shapes of the hills 
above the cliffs (Seven Sisters). 
The 'South Downs Way' continues following those cliffs.
From Seaford to Eastbourne is 10 miles.

7つの白亜の丘陵を7人の尼僧(シスター）に
例えているのだそうです。

'Seven Sisters'
The seven white cliffs look like seven nuns: sisters.  

自転車の人もいる！
A Cyclist is here, too!

崖下へおりてみます。
I tried to go down the cliffs.

フリント/ Flint
日本では、火打ち石と呼ばれるようです。

彼らも夏休み
They are on summer holiday, too.

何か採れたのでしょうか？
Did he get something? 

ピンクの点線コースは、ここから丘の上を歩いて戻ることになります。
ですが、私達は少しここを上ってまた降りました。

Here is the turning point in the Pink dotted line
where people walk on up the hill from here.
However, we carried on up a little way here and then down.
 

 下りながら、この景色を見て歩くのはとても気持ちが良いものでした。
When I turned around and looked back down the hill at this view, it was quite comfortable.
